This is even more pathetic than the last attempt.
Gareth hasn't logged in since the 31st, and Amy since the 24th of May. Since administrators are the only ones that can ban members/IPs, I think it's high time they appoint someone who logs in every day to be an administrator as well. Or at least more moderators or something.
God, somebody just get his IP and find a way to hack his computer so it doesn't work anymore.
This is not my site. I am just a guest here in the sense that Hrick is Autist and I am NT. Neither of us is AS.... but you have accepted our membership, and thus far us, so I am going to speak respectfully, but freely here. I think you should ask WHY? first. Why is he or she doing this. It takes a lot of time and effort and there must be a reason. Obviously, the individual is upset.
Maybe it is part of being NT or just my particular human nature, but I want to know why.
Hero told me Norad, the former name of the site's present spammer used to come to the chat rooms and conversed normally at first.... that the conversation only deteriorated into spam at end (I'm not clear whether it was toward end of conversations or his total efforts) . What if that is part of the individual's condition? A form of overload, tourettes, whatever? Would you look upon it any differently then? This site was established to support and help others.
I think before you ban him you should ask the why and see if you don't get a plausible answer. I think we should all try to help him first... Oddly, I have come to that conclusion because of all of you, in learning what each of you has had to largely endured elsewhere.
So I'd rephrase the question like this:
How can we stop the spamming by helping the spammer?
..... and before anyone answers with something unkind or glib take a good long look inside. Not one of you has not been subjected to riducule or unkindness. How would you want to be treated? I think AS has it in them to rise above what would be the normal NT response... at least as a first try.
I propose we start a thread to become the spammers site within the site. If he wants to talk,really talk, then it is available and I will readily post reply to him. If he wants to spam then it will simply die out for lack of interest. I don't want to usurp Batman's thread here so I am going to start a new one as try. If anyone is willing to give it a try you can post your willingness there. I'll put a duplicate of this reply at the other thread on how to stop the spammer as well. If you agree with Batman then this thread is already available.
I will conclude with something Hrick wrote to me as comment in a discussion about whether Autism is something for cure. Accordingly, the statement is taken out of context but relevant nonetheless. Hrick wrote, "how we care for others is the true measure of self. What is your measure".
If Amy or Gareth disapprove of this plan, I know they can simply erase the thread from the site. If my suggestion offends to the point that they wish to ban me as well then I would ask that you not take it out on Hrick as he has nothing to do with this post. As of this moment, I have not even discussed it with him . You can justlet me know if you do not wish me to to post or participate further on site and I would gladly and respectfully honor that.

We have also given him several opportunities to tell us what's bothering him, and he has declined, only to repeat his "ATOMIK PSYCHO" mantras (multiple pages of them) in threads designed to reach out to him.
No attempt at communicating with him has worked. If he has some self-esteem/overload issues related to Asperger's/autism or any other reason, I can sympathize with that, as I have had a great share of anger problems myself.
But we simply cannot tolerate malicious clogging of a public forum used by countless people, any longer.
We must defeat him (the enemy.) There can be no other way.

Coming in 2008 to a theatre near you. Batman vs. 1Veedo. The spammer is ruining Gotham, he's taking over and clogging up the city. No one can access their computer unless the Dark Knight comes and stops him. Batman thinks he has him, but another one appears by the name of jdurg. Will he be able to stop him in time? He is a 55 year old Batman. Who knows? All we do know is that he must defeat him, as there can be no other way.
