Gods, I hate doof doof music! It rattles my bones. Damned uncomfortable physically, as well as annoying. All in all, it makes me want to kill things.
The problem is, my father loves it, and he gets what he wants.
Well, my rant for today is about people who give advice when what I'd really prefer is practical assistance. A good friend told me tonight that plenty of people who know me get put off because I don't want to take their advice.
Now, this might be a true concern, but when the advice is to make a phone call to somebody I don't know and I tell them I have a severe phone phobia about talking to strangers, it is a worry.
Even when I tell them how bad these fears are, it doesn't seem to register. Then I get told that "I don't want to help myself". I do, but only if it is in some other way besides calling strangers. It will be better in the future when more and more businesses come online.
You have to pay to use a phone to call the police? That's terrible!
The police here are now going to charge a fee to come to a traffic accident. Several hunderd dollars from what I hear.

That is seriously ridiculous! People pay taxes to maintain the police force so they shouldn't have to pay anything else.
Today while my mom & I were shopping at Lowes, we ran into this kid with Fragile X. I think he might've liked me cause he somewhat pinched me on the elbow... yeah, that was a random statement there.
Does that mean you don't like your name?
At the moment your PM arrived, I was treading this:
I will not stand for what Phil is doing, for his joy at my temporary ban, his insults towards people here, and his refusal to take this off of AFF.
What you're saying is transparently, undeniably true. I am baffled by Gareth and Amy's endless indulgence of Phil's nasty, twisted behavior. I mean, he kisses their asses constantly, but they seem too smart to be suckered by that.
Phil, maybe if you removed "More AS Disappointment" from the Wiki, we would see a lot of these fisticuffs dissolve. But you won't budge, and I find that incredibly self-righteous and even "dirty" of you.
Play fair, talk, and hopefully apologize.
Jesus Christ, the kid gets banned a second time, and I see more weight on his side of the story, than yours.
At least he sticks up for what he believes.
Oh and on LFA - I was stating a fact about the condition of Low Functioning Autism. Nothing more and nothing less. If you or Wilky want to personalise it that's your problem.
Actually, Timelord, LFA is a very subjective catagorization, and different doctors stick people into based on different criteria. The only major connection between these criteria that I can see is that *most* LFAs are nonverbal or partially nonverbal (or echolalic, or have other major speech impediments). While it's true that a mentally retarded autistic will automatically be labeled LFA, it is NOT true that all LFAs have low IQs. Take a look at Amanda Baggs (http://ballastexistenz.autistics.org) and Joel Smith (http://www.thiswayoflife.org/blog) if you don't believe me! They are both considered LFA and both are quite intelligent.
As with all things in autism, it's not apropriate to generalize that any one group of autistics are "all" this or that way.
Properly measured, in fact, some LFAs have been found to have gifted IQs.
I have an opinion on the diagnostic process Anbuend went through, but I won't post it here. If Anbuend wants to hear it privately for discussion that would be terrific. I will say that it blows the theories of her enemies right out of the water - if I'm right that is.
Enemies?
Sorry, I haven't kept up with this whole thing...

The article stays, because it's a just my opinion on what has happened to me in relation to Joeker. It's my warped version of events - and I don't want it to be seen as anything else. He is upset at being shafted by me and I never apologise to anyone (even when I am in the wrong) and I admit that HE just might not actually be in the wrong in this whole thing.
And I sure as heck stick up for what I believe in! Even without relying on common decency, rationality or reason
Anyway - he's gone, and I think the matter should be dropped once and for all. Like everything else I have provoked and not apologised for.
I thoroughly agree. Here was men thinking you weren't talking sense Timelord. Your argument is winning me over
That was pretty clever
Erkolos, I think you are much smarter than your teacher and it was rude of her to say you disappointed her. No wonder you were so upset! Homework is very much overrated too.
The idea of a meeting were my support person (+ the diagnosing psychologist) and me would meet with my mum and discuss matters are already in the works. I just have to explain to mum what the meeting is about. I think I've already mentioned it briefly.
'Hassle' is a good word! Not too strong...
Remembering events from childhood can be tricky as I'm not sure if the memory I think of consists of one or several occasions that are so alike that they've placed themselves on top of each other (my memory are highly oriented towards images; events are site specific) as they might have taken place in the same room, house or other exact location and during an extended period of time.
Some memories are from events were I was alone while others aren't. I can remember things that was said to me or that I said to someone else.
I do think old threads above about 2 years old should be archived somewhere though.
