On the OTHER hand, here we have just gotten over the worst drought in recorded history. Countrywide levels of drinking water had fallen to muddy all-time lows. Canberra's main drinking supply dam was at about 15% capacity despite desperate rationing measures, and Goulburn (a nearby farming community) was trucking in drinking water from our limited supply, their own dam being so much dried clay. And although we had drought-breaking rain at the end of the year, there's been no rain here AT ALL since November. So send some of your rain our way. We need it.

Honestly, I don't think it is worthwhile bothering with these people any more. They are probably not going to see reason anytime soon and it is only upsetting you even further to keep talking to them.

Timelord, I didn't realise. I thought he should also give Fore Sam a miss because it's only upsetting him and Fore Sam will be hit by karma at some stage if he's doing the wrong thing.

I was under the impression that LFA referred more to verbal skills and self help skills rather than IQ. It's also very hard to test IQ with non-verbal people so therefore difficult to get an accurate idea of how bright they are. From what I read of Droopy's postings, she certainly had intelligence but was assumed to be unintelligent for years because she wasn't speaking. LFA to me does NOT mean that a person has low intelligence.

No won't. The discontinuation of communication was for a reason and similar to that which had me punch out my Dad last few times I saw him. I am just saying that we all crave for what we haven't got (or wish we had). It may or may not be there.
Damn, that is sad. I guess all you can do is what you think is best. Wish there was more I could say but I'm not so good on family stuff myself.

This is a mini-rant. It annoys me when people look at me strangely when I say something perfectly normal.
While we were waiting for the tea trolley this morning, one of my workmates got a local paper. The front page article showed a picture of a local landmark, a 1950's clock tower, being demolished.
I was rather sad about that because I always hoped the clock tower would get a stay of execution so I said "the Philistines!". That's a common saying so I don't see why I had to be looked at as if I were strange. It really gets on my nerves and it made me feel even worse about the demise of the tower, which is to be replaced by ugly units.

I mean, I haven't suddenly grown 3 heads and besides, I've heard other people say far stranger stuff.

Yes, you would think some people would know what that meant. It's not as if it's the biggest word in existence. So much for modern education.
