GOOD SURVEY! A little difficult to answer at times.

horror: Don't know. Probably "Scream"

romance: Notting Hill

Comedy: At the moment? Probably "The Birdcage" or any Monty Python movie.

Drama: (Again, difficult) Hotaru no Haka, or Grave of the Fireflies (does Anime count if the story is dramatical enough?)

Fantasy: Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl (Not easy to fit into any particular genre, but for now it's my favourite movie of all movies ever made in the history of... movies.)

Sci-fi: War of the Worlds

Animation: Finding Nemo

Favorite Actor: Johnny Depp

Favorite actress: Don't Know

Favorite director: Difficult choice. Would have to go for Tim Burton, or Terry Gilliam, or Hayao Miyazaki...
Ack, I can never think of my favorites when I need to!  Well, I'll try...

Horror: Hmm, I like "The Ring".

Romance: I don't think I like any romance movies.  Well, except "Romeo and Juliet"...the 1968 Zeffirelli one, not that Baz Luhrman crap.

Comedy: "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", off the top of my head.

Drama: "Phantom of the Opera", "Donnie Darko"...actually most of my favorites are drama...

Fantasy: "Lord of the Rings".  Nooo contest.

Sci-fi: "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan", "Terminator 2: Judgment Day"

Animation: "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children"

Favorite actor: I don't really have favorite actors.  I guess you can't go wrong with Johnny Depp.

Favorite actress: I'm totally blank...

Favorite director: Peter Jackson, Gore Verbinski

<hugs>

Athie
Horror: Don't know, I don't watch horror movies (because I can't get over the fact they are fake and therefore they do nothing for me).

Romance: I don't like romantic comedies.

Comedy: This is a difficult one, there are so many subgenres of comedy. I think I'm going to have to say Jackass 2 though, as it made me laugh more than any other movie I've watched recently. The Big Lebowski and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas are close seconds, however.

Drama: Dances with Wolves.

Fantasy: Lord of the Rings trilogy (I agree).

Sci-fi: Star Wars series.

Animation: This is another hard one, as there are so many animated films I enjoyed as a child. Out of recently made animated films, though, I'd probably have to say A Scanner Darkly.

Favorite Actor/Actress/Director: Don't know, I don't really pay attention to who's in movies or who makes them.
No real opinion on most of these, since I don't watch very many movies.

-Horror: The "Alien" movies - usually labeled as sci-fi, but really they're horror movies that just happen to take place in outer space.

-Comedy: "The Blues Brothers"

-Fantasy: "The Lord Of the Rings" and the "Harry Potter" movies

-Sci-fi: The "Star Wars" movies - I like the original trilogy better than the prequels though

-Animation: Probably Disney's version of "Robin Hood" (I perseverated on this one as a kid)

-Favorite acting folk: it doesn't matter - the characters matter  Tongue

-Favorite director: David Lynch, of course Wink
Horror-"The Exorcist"

Comedy-So many of those I like "Airplane"

Drama-"Gone with the Wind"

Fantasy-"Lord of the Rings"

Sci-Fi-The Original Star Wars trilogy and the Star Trek movies

Animation-this is a tough one I'd say An American Tail

Favorite Actor-Harrison Ford

Actress-Reese Witherspoon

Director-Steven Spielberg
