Just wondering....

I'm lovin' the new episodes, although I do miss the Tom Baker era.
Oh yes Smile

I can't wait for the second part of the current Dr Who 'Human Nature'.

I loved Harry Lloyd in the first one - I couldn't believe this was the same guy as whatshisname in Robin Hood!

You mean it is still on? My husband will be crushed to hear that and not have access to it. It used to be on public television here, but I think they have since dropped it. Recently found some old tapes of it at the library for him. His whole family was addicted to it.  Mom of Hrick
When I was little, it scared me. But I gradually came to enjoy...

I like K9.

Congratulations on your 2000th post.  Cool

Thanks, it only took 2 1/2 years Wink

It was so perfectly balanced today too = 2000 posts and 1000 PMs Smile

Does anyone know when the third season (of the new show) is going to be shown in the US?

I think the new Dr Who started a bit tentatively--with the right ideas but lacking in confidence.

And money/experience I should think (it's not like the BBC has ever done anything on this scale since standards and expectations for effects and stories reached current levels Smile

Yes I'm a fan, Doctor Who is the best thing on tv in a long time. I only watch a few things on t.v, Dr Who, Prison Break and Desperate Housewives.

I also watch any missed episodes on tvlinks http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/26 You can also watch the classics there also.

I am really looking forward to tomorrows episode, looks like it will be good Smile
I wouldn't say I'm a fan, but I'm quite enjoying the newer series.
Hooray, the third season starts showing in the US tomorrow night!  Smile  I'm so excited!
Next season in NZ August 19th!! Can't wait! (Not sure which season it would be or from what time.)

Erich and I are barely hanging on. Neither of us much likes Tennent, and I'm still morning the loss of Rose.

Hmm, that's too bad.  I really like Tennent.  My mother, though, doesn't, so I guess there's a pretty wide range of reactions to him amongst the fan base.
As for companions-  I like Martha, but Rose was better.  I do like how they've played up the effect her loss had on the Doctor, though.

I do think Tennent brings a passion to the role that was sometimes been lacking in other DRs; and yes I'd I agree Rose was better as a companion. I wonder how Catherine Tate will do? She was very entertining in last year's christmas special.

Is that the one with the wedding and the spidery alien?  That one was fantastic, I loved it!  The elaborate makeup and the over-the-top acting of the person playing the spider-alien was brilliant!  Big Grin
