I was watching BBC America over the Memorial Day weekend (on extended cable with Military Channel, Discovery/Times, National Geographic, Science Channel, and several dozen others). Saw the last Christopher Eccleston episode (some spoof on game shows, The Weakest Link and Big Brother, might have been a marathon, Rose Tyler looked into the TARDIS and then the Doctor kissed her, and he regenerated into Who? David Tennant (needed Wikipedia for that one).
I thought the commercials were a hoot. The Heineken draught keg, the Neuton Garden Cart?
I had watched Doctor Who (up to Sylvester McCoy) on Maryland Public Television between 1986 and 1990 when I kind of gave up, though I did watch the 1996 movie, and saw some Sci-Fi channel broadcasts in the summer of 1993.
Having digital cable has let me see more Doctor Who on Maryland Public Television and now, BBC America.
Silent Witness, maybe that will give CSI Miami or CSI Las Vegas a run for the money?
Christoper Eccleston and Billie Piper were the best team - Chris has a great sense of humour and Billie is oh-so-damn gorgeous!
