AAAAAUGH! We're in America and god knows when we'll see them.
My boyfriend (the Aspie) has been a DrWho fan since the old days (15? 20? years...) So I started watching with him when the new (Eccleston) incarnation. We haven't seen any of the current post-Rose episodes yet...

Christoper Eccleston and Billie Piper were the best team - Chris has a great sense of humour and Billie is oh-so-damn gorgeous!

I totally agree. Eccleston seemed to totally enjoy the Doctor's near-craziness, whereas Tennant seems to me like a little boy dressed up in daddy's clothing. When Tennant took over the role, the show seemed to be more and more about Rose -- I found her a more interesting character. I really hated to see her go.
Just wanted to mention that I've been a Whovian since I was about 12. (Now 34.) Mostly the Tom Baker episodes on Public Television. I've collected a few books and DVDs (a box-set of the Key To Time episodes). Now I rarely watch TV. I've seen a few episodes of the new series in the video room at a sci-fi convention, but never on my own TV. (Got cable just for broadband. Maybe one of these days I'll have to have them add some channels.)
When I was little, it scared me. But I gradually came to enjoy...
I like K9.
I used to watch Dr Who in the 1980's, it was on Saturday tea-time and it was one of my favorite programme's. I even had a Tom Baker style scarf. The new series doesn't appeal much in comparison.
Yes I'm a fan, Doctor Who is the best thing on tv in a long time. I only watch a few things on t.v, Dr Who, Prison Break and Desperate Housewives.
I also watch any missed episodes on tvlinks
http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/26 You can also watch the classics there also.
I am really looking forward to tomorrows episode, looks like it will be good

Thanks Midnight Owl--I didn't know about tvlinks. I'm watching an episode of Dr Who now.
Glad you like the site, it's great for shows and movies.
I wouldn't say I'm a fan, but I'm quite enjoying the newer series.
Love Dr Who!
The spinoff, Torchwood, was a bit bad. The pilot of the Sarah-Jane adventures looked better. Haven't watched the cartoon one they've done yet.
Hooray, the third season starts showing in the US tomorrow night!

I'm so excited!
The third season of Dr Who is the best yet...I'm watch episode 9 at this very moment.
I recommend episode 7 (42). As well as episodes 8 and 9 (parts 1 and 2 of Human Nature).
"Human Nature" was based on a much better novella by the episode's writer (a Bernice Summerfield story at that), which I believe the BBC made available online. Worth a read. ("Blink" was based on a much, much better Stephen Moffat short story, BTW...again I think you can get it online).
I thought "Utopia" was probably the best of the series, but then how can you go wrong with Derek Jacobi as ... (pity we couldn't have seen more).
Next season in NZ August 19th!! Can't wait! (Not sure which season it would be or from what time.)
Pertwee was my favorite Dr..but Tennant is VERY good....
I used to have an obsession with Doctor around age 14-15, I mean an intense obsession, and it came from nostalgic memories of having watched the show when I was 5-8 years old with my brother, and loving the sensory experience.
But the obsession ceased when I realized the production values were absolute crap, and many of the actors (not the Doctors tho) were obnoxious and terrible. The concepts of the show are great; however, the shoestring budget eventually ruined it for me, and I couldn't "pretend" there was an effort to make a quality program anymore, when there really wasn't.
Erich and I are barely hanging on. Neither of us much likes Tennent, and I'm still morning the loss of Rose.
Don't worry Max...didn't anyone tell you; rose isn't dead she’s alive and well and living in a parallel universe.
But she's not in MY universe! (WAAAAAAH!)
Yeah, I saw her final episode twice, cried like a baby both times.
Piper was no great beauty (Martha is incredibly gorgeous) but I loved her spirit and heart.
The bride in the Christmas show, I found hugely entertaining. I was disappointed she wasn't the new companion, so I'm glad she's returning. Erich found her incredibly annoying -- he said "Maybe they just put her in so we'll appreciate the next one (Martha.)"

Possibly for different reasons, but my list would be similar (not quite the same) as yours.
