Does anyone have a myspace?
I noticed quite a few Asperger's sites there. There is a huge group for them.
I got a myspace but I don't know if I want any friends yet. I just mostly signed up to see other people's sites and photos.
What do you think about myspace?
I used to go there and ditched it for Facebook. Believe me, its much better. Myspace is all about acquiring friends and having your browser crash from people's "pimped out" pages. I just didn't like it, and everyone is now jumping on the Facebook wagon which is well organized.
If anyone knows of any autism networks on Facebook I'd love to join them, or if anyone has a facebook there I'm Kyle B.
I don't like MySpace much since it seems focused on rating how cool you are by how many people you have in your friends list. Consequently, I have about 5 people on my list. I am so cool. I'm always up for adding real people to my list, though I'm not entirely sure how to define that better.
I agree with Kyle. FaceBook is so much better... Everyone's page layouts are the same and much more organized. Also, I like how people go by their real names on FaceBook and not by things like -._.-*-CuTiE932-*-._.- like they do on MySpace.
I have one, but don't have anyone added to it that I actually know IRL. I tried that a few years ago, but I prefer like actually talking to people in person or on the phone rather than exchanging stupid comments back and forth... It's good for talking to people who don't live near you, though. Anyway, anyone feel free to add me if you want:

I had a page on myspace for a few months, supposably to keep up with friends who used it - easier for them to just post there then to keep up with a lot of people. I didn't like it and never put much on my page so I cancelled it and just know less about these friends now.
I knowe myspace is a horrible place where predators find their victims. I have heard horrible stories about it. Lot of girls get hurt on there by men from ages 13-25 but lot of them are in their teens so i had no worries but it was also because lot of them put personal information in their profile or blog and I don't do that so I have nothing to worry about. It does bug me when strangers try adding me to their friends list.
I am on an Aspie group on MySpace, but I hardly ever post on there. Wrong Planet and AFF are the groups I post on the majority of the time.
Most of my MySpace friends are people from high school or earlier (including some people I had known since I was 5 years old).

What Aspie group on MySpace.com?
i prefer blogger over myspace. it doesn't require you to make a big profile of yourself and add friends and such. I try not to give enough info for a sexual predator to catch. all i do is write stories and commentaries related to autism.
I'm on Myspace, most of my friends are on it, so I use it mainly for communication, and as a place to post my blogs. There's a few good Aspie groups on there, but the curebie parents' groups seem to outnumber them. Don't get me wrong, the groups section is great, there's a lot of them for all different topics, and there's a few really good Aspie groups. I got banned from one of them called "United Aspies" because some woman kept telling me that most people with Autism can't live a fulfilling life, and when I asked who she was to decide what someone considers a fulfilling life, the moderator said I was being disrespectful of her opinions. That's really more of a moderator problem tho for that one particular group.
As far as the predators, Myspace has been doing a lot to cut down on them, they even go so far as to direct the FBI to certain profiles that look suspiciously like that of a predator. In all fairness, most of the stories you hear about pedophilia come from dumb kids posting their cellphone numbers and home addresses on their profiles assuming that nobody they don't know will see it.
