Teen People made that Vines' singer #5 on the "bad celebrity" list. It said Craig Nicholls assualted people and trashed stages. But he had an excuse: He has Asperger's Syndrome, a disorder that causes anti-social behavior. I think we should start a letter campaign.
E-mail them at letters@teenpeople.com

Here are some sites mentioning it where you can leave comments:

TheASman posted something about one site previously and left a comment there about stereotyping AS.
Yes I did on a website. If  and when I remember, I will edit and add it.

But I think catffeinated is on to something here.
Previously, Teen People has published letters by people who object to something. Also, they'll even apologize or publish a correction. They also publish true stories; I really think they should do one about AS. I mean, after all, most people will meet an Aspie. They've had articles about anorexia, organ donors, and OCD. If enough people say something, perhaps they'll publish something.

You had posted only the archived copy of the thread.

How does him having AS excuse bad behavior? Or was that him claiming 'you can't blame me, I have AS' like so many brats do?
I hate that excuse. I've never used my AS as an excuse for anything. I've been told I should, though.
I havent even known I had AS until a few onths ago, I dont really mind if ppl dont like stuff I do, if they can tolerate me and I can tolerate them, thats fine, otherwise, well...  they dont tend to stikc around.
I don't think it's an excuse, the magazine said "But he has an excuse: He has Asperger's Syndrome". I think if many people with AS wrote to them, they would see not all of us use it as an excuse or are violent people.
And I thought that it was enough when they ran the Hubba Bubba Max contest and glamourized bubble gum in a couple of pictures!

I only read that magazine so I can shake my head a bunch of times and make comments on how lousy it is. It supports (and, in some cases, glamourizes) neurotypicality, gumsnobbery, and, apparently, from what you said, ignorance.

I should try to get whatever issue that was in removed from the school library.
