I'd thought I'd post this in the Time Out section...
Well, anyway, this is the RPG Thread for those of us who want to play a role playing game on this site. Basically, you chose whatever character you want and you narrate your characters life and actions. And yes, there are some rules.
Okay, here are the rules:
-Your character can be anything you want, either a magician, space cadet, etc.
-The name of the land/planet you start at is called Gonador. It has 8 continents and polar ice caps, about 40,000 km in circumference. I will be making a map of it soon. Alternatively, you can introduce your own planet if it is essential to the plot.
-You can go anywhere you want, but you have to be realistic in your means of travel. For example, if you are traveling by horse, you cannot instantly traverse hundreds of kilometers.
-Your character can have a base of starting skills, but you cannot make any undefeatable uber skills. Additionally, your character can only start with basic skills. Any uber skills will be taken away by the gods.
-Yes you can die. You will be restored to life after you do a task for the gods...
And that is basically it. Now I will go over who moderates this...
The Gods
Okay, basically, I will take the role as the gods. The gods are only here to moderate, but if I like you they may do you favors....
Some basic notes about them:
-The gods are ALL POWERFUL That means they can do what ever they want whenever they want.
-The gods are omniscient and omnipotent.
-The gods are not obliged to answer any of your prayers, unless it is an urgent emergency (i.e. flamming, trolling, etc.)
-The gods are the only ones who can banish people to the Land of Sorrows and Despair. Banishment is for people who consistently violate rules.
-The gods reserve the right to play favorites.
-The gods reserve the right to unleash horrible calamities.
-The gods reserve the right to grant special powers and skills. Alternatively, they reserve the right to take away those powers and skills.
-To address the gods, you have to use appropriate etiquette, or they will not answer your prayers. The proper way to address them is "I humbly ask the almighty gods..."
Other Important Rules:
-No flaming
-No spamming
-No trolling
-No megalomaniacs
-No racist or sexist attacks
-No offending the gods
Violation of these rules will lead to instant banishment and/or total stripping of your powers.
I will explain banishment if anybody happens to be unfortunate enough to land themselves in it.
