Pandora's Closet

I design and make all of this.  At the end of the list actually are some designs and the end product of a cyberwoman type costume for a sci-fi convention I went to. (Won an award for it, too!)  I mostly make stuff for Ren Faires, and I do have a ton more stuff that I've made, including guy's stuff, but I just haven't been able to get them photographed yet.

Right now, I'm in the middle of lots of moving from home to home and I don't have my sewing machine or studio set up (driving me BATTY - so many ideas that are stuck in my head and I can't do anything but sketch out)... but I'll be adding lots more soon.
cool-I especially like the one bottom rightmost picture outfit.
welcome to AFF, btw.
"Pandora's closet"

I guess they are clothes from the underworld then, cool.
Ah, I chose the name because you never know what kinds of things you'll find when you open it.  I've been learning and doing a lot of work with chainmaille lately, and when i get that stuff finished, i'll put it up.
Hi Joule, I design clothes too- mostly more regular-wear than costumes.
My stuff is in my DA acount:  http://luai-lashire.deviantart.com
Nice to meet you!  Smile
Do you typically work from patterns, or just feel your way?  Do you have any final products photograhed?

I -love- Spring Skies 6, Skies Afire.  Those colors are BEAUTIFUL.  I love the way you designed the neckline, too.

Big Grin  Thanks!  I'm not very good at sewing, so the only finished product I have is last year's halloween costume.  Tongue  But this summer I plan on working really hard at improving my sewing.  I hope to really get into the swing of making things!

Best advice I can give you on learning how to sew... go buy some simple patterns, things in the "easy to sew" section and play!  When I was learning, I bought a bunch of old bedsheets from the thrift shop and used those.  I paid just $3USD for them, really cheap, and that way if I messed them up, I didn't care too much because it wasn't $15/yard fabric.

Actually, a lot of those outfits are made from old sheets, curtains, whatever.  I like recycling. Smile
I've customised a few shirts, but that's about it - done some while I was in high school.
