The girl is 15 years old, so the case is not PEDOphilia, but HEBEphilia.

PEDO, Greek for childhood, is for victims from 0 to 13 years of age.
HEBE, Greek for adolescence, is for victims from 14 to 16 years of age.

It is incredible that Law Courts make certain scientific and technical mistakes!!

What is there to be mad about? That a 15-year-old girl is posing on the net? Yes! That a 25-year-old freak collects child pornography? Yes! That the freak gets off the hook? Yes! The implication that AS had something to do with the crime? Yes! The freak have AS. Did AS have anything to do with the commission of the crime? It doesn't say... Is it a mitigating circumstance? It is extremely hard to tell from the information given in the article. It could be a "reason" to be lenient. Could it be an "excuse"? HELL NO! Nothing can excuse the exploitation of children! The article says only that the girl is 15 and she is by US standards a minor and a minor is by law a child (if I'm not wrong she will remain a minor until her 18th birthday). The article doesn't comment on the graphics of the child pornography that was seized so what's there to say that it wasn't pictures of very small children. Pedophilia is, in itself, not a crime. It is a "sexual" disorder (a perversion), so whatever you may call the freak in question is not an issue for the court.

Reading through the small article again I can not escape that the excuse the freak gives sounds like an echo of what J.L.D. said in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin court in the late 1980ies when he was under prosecution for indescent exposure towards a minor... and only a few years later they found H O R R O R in his apartment...

What annoys me is that when a person from any minority group does a crime, the majority are lead to believe that they caused the crime because they were part of that minority group, even if that has nothing to do with the crime.

People forget that auties are just like any other human; we have flaws and we're not all good people.

But that doesn't mean we're all bad, though. Most people are nice in general.

It's incredible how the courts make mistakes? It's pretty believable to me...

It is a crime.   Only who is to take all the blame.  

Did he know she was 15 yrs old?  Savvy on-line NT teenager fools gullible Asperger young adult male?  Was he pretending to be a teenager on-line or was she pretending to be older?  He was stupid enough not to know to check her age and how could he on-line anyway?  She posed for photos and she did so willingly.  She was wrong too only she will not be punished for it.  Maybe her parents will punish her by taking her computer away from her.  They were not supervising her on-line activities.  She could have fallen prey to someone who could have hurt her or even killed her.  People are stupid.

If the man was in possession of other child pornography, not just this particular teenager, then that is a crime too.

I wouldn't defend a nonce, but its quite possible that guys with AS, would seek out less stressful, less demanding relationships, where psychologically speaking, they are on an equal level with the other half, which could, concievably, include dating a much younger person.

Not for that reason, but when I was 18/19, I ended up hooking up with a then 14 year old autie chick that I met through some (kinda shitty) AS group, of the kind run by NTs, that was one of the better relationships I have been in in my past, we got on like a house on fire (and a bucket of petrol, hehehe), was the girl this dude got off with NT or one of us?

That all said, if he was caught with kiddy porn, he deserves to be strung up by the balls and starved to death slowly.

You would be called a pedophile if you were 18 and had relations with a 17 year old. Just how it works. They deserve to be locked up though if they are 25 or 30 and the victim is a 14 year old or younger. The police want the internet to be safe.

He had dead bodies in his apartment. Body parts in the fridge and elsewhere. People had made some complaints when he was seen to attack a young man in the street but he convinced the police it was just a lover's tiff.
The neighbours were also complaining that his place was smelling.
