i keep bringing up these small off-white pellets from the back of my throat.
they stink like the very essence of decay, and are hard until some pressure is applied,at which point they break apart then become paste.
any ideas?
i've been sniffing around, and it also fits the description of 'Cryptic Tonsillitis'...
the question is:is it worth the hassle and loss of immunity that tonsil removal incurs,to cease the production of these minor irritances...?
for those who don't know,in Cryptic Tonsillitis, the tonsils have cracks and ravines on them,in which food and bacteria build up.occasionally pellets will come up.
has anyone else experienced something like this?
apparently it can make the breath smell somewhat though.did you find this?
no,i never have the nerve to pick up the phone to book an appointment.and i have a chronic fear of dentists.dont ask me why.its probably because i bit one a long time ago...
Thankyou, all.
I've had these in the past, usually a few over a few weeks and then nothing for months or years. I even took one to a Doctor once, they told me it was probably a piece of food.
The exactly match the decription and photos I found.
Now I have found out what they are, it is one less thing to worry about (and one more time a Doctor haas prived they are underinformed)...
update
well, i finally went to the doctor, and he confirmed that it would appear to be cryptic tonsils.
not serious, but worth keeping an eye on, as they will be slightly more prone to infection than normal tonsils
