I have to go to a potluck dinner.  Everyone usually brings pasta dishes or shepherd's pie.  They did not ask for desserts because there is going to be a big cake.

I think I will make vegetarian sushi rolls.  My husband will freak.  I don't have too much cash this week and I can afford to buy a cucumer and carrot for the filling (I have rice, nori sheets, vinegar etc).

Should I make something else like a curry?  Most of these church people just eat really non-spicy and boring food so I don't know if they would try a curry?
Actually both choices sound good...if the dinner is for the whole church, or at least a large number of members, there will probably be someone willing to try something new.  I have never eaten either of those foods but if I were at that dinner I would try some of each! Cool
M -I agree..both of those choices sound yummy Smile More creative than the typical potluck stuff.
just curious--Why would your husband freak??
A curry would be easier to make in large quantities than lots of dinky sushi rolls. Just my thought.
Potstickers. They would be a good option.
I decided on sushi rolls just because I have no money this week.  Potstickers are a great idea.  I love them.
