I find it funny that most of those who gave it a bad score gave it because ABA didn't cure the "core" of autism.

Amy Nelson is apparently against ABA, aswell as the Lovaas technique which according to their own sources aswell as wikipedia doesn't use aversives, but prompting and rewards.

Please take a look at a previous thread I had about ABA which didn't get much attention from parents:

There's probably alot of questionable things about ABA, especially those who uses aversives, but that's the parents' responsibility to improve through close communication with the therapists, aswell as between ABA therapists world-wide.
hear what a specialist in my area siad the rules were for his classes of auties 1-8 grade:
Quiet hands and feet, eye contact, and quiet mouthes.
this was for socail interactions.

it feels like dog training: you do what they want you get a 'treat' that may be food, computer time(porbly cuvited), or any number of things. i went up and demonstrated for the class a very exatruated version of lack of eye contact.

I guess this was one of those days it is difficult to put meaning into letters for you?
yes before writing this i was yelled at by my teacher.
That's not very acceptable. You could surely make someone help you with it.
... oh, as a part of ABA training?
It was rude for the teacher to yell at him.

Grrrrrrr I get furious when someone thinks they can demand eye contact from me. They don't have the right to control my thoughts or my eyes. It's way too personal. Sheesh

no  the yelling was cuase i had forgotten somthing in my last class and asked the teacher if i could go get it, she yelled i got scared and over welm so i started crying and she yelled some more.

that sounds like not a good teacher

I'm often surprised how many things my teachers endure to do for me when I'm forgetting things, guess I should be grateful.
Hehe when I was around 10, my teacher tied me to my chair to "remind" me to stay in it.  Today's parents would have a fit about that.
