I think i'll play devils advocate on this one :twisted:
If we look at AD/HD, it is accepted that there are 2 common causes of the condition: genetic abnormality and brain damage during the fetal or infant stages. So it stands to reason that the same could be said of autism, beign such a closely related (as to be indistinguishable in some cases) condition.
There is no conclusive research to suggest that mercury dosent affect the neurological development of a child so the prudent course of action is to play it safe and remove the ingredient which could possibly cause harm.
Amen to that; I'm amazed they used mercury in an case! It's been famous for a century as the known cause of "mad hatters" disease!

The only vaccine I had at an early age was polio at the age of 6yrs old.. I had aspie symptoms long before that. I never had measles or mumps vaccine.. the vaccine thing scare is ridiculous. People who don't want Asperger's children should then sterilize themselves if they don't want us and they carry the genes! Geez!
Charming mothers NOT! My mother has aspergers symptoms she is now 85 with alzheimers in a nursing home... Can you imagine if she whined about my aspergers blaming some vaccine.. Thank God she did nto know adn I was allowed to grow up as a normal kid doing what I wanted and not having my mother look at me like a Freak....
