Another one of my senseless poems about Dragons...

His bat-like wings swept through the air,
The moon herself did stare.
And on those wings of night did fly,
The fiery serpent of the sky.

His endurance almost spent.
Following a trail of scent,
The silver mountains below him sped.
He does not know to whence he is sent.

At last his journey nears its end,
Landing within a peaceful glen.
He watches from within the trees,
His eyes as deep as all the seas...

She poised there, by the river,
Roused by the bushes quiver.
She stands alert with apprehension,
What was that that caught her attention?

With the eyes of one enraptured,
For by her beauty he is captured.
Then his gaze begins to soften,
This reaction he gets so often.

Her eyes lock upon a scale-d hide,
And in shock those orbs grow wide.
And yet… from some where deep inside,
She felt a bond with He who spied.

He knows he has found the One,
So many years have come and gone.
Searching for one who fills the hole,
Within his deep and noble soul.

Towards the bush her feet did tread,
Following what the Fates had said.
For him of wings, tooth and flame,
In soul, they are both the same.

So alike in mind they are,
His golden eye glows like a star.
He knows not how far he has come,
He knows he has found his One.

She sees the soul inside the armour,
Senses his unusual karma.
Into those eyes she sees so deep,
Empathy says more than speech.

Deep within his soul she finds,
Something that he tries to hide.
A deep regret for their fateful meeting,
For their two kind can never touch.

In this world there is great woe,
For those who come and cannot go.
Those who have loved and lost it all,
Those who never loved at all.

But in this world a worse fate still,
For twins of soul who cannot touch...

Etc.
