what's your favorite genre of music? mine, of course, is hard rock/nu-metal..
That is the closest to what I like. I also like electronic music, synth pop, new wave right through to ebm, idm and industrial.
I can actually listen to any kind of music, it just depends on what I am in the mood for at that particular moment.
Rock music, however most of the stuff that I listen to is quite obscure.

Right now I'm kinda addicted to Italo Disco. I've been playing I-F's mixtape 'Mixed Up In The Hague' over and over again.
I don't really stick to one genre. I like stuff from all genres, and a lot of stuff that doesn't even clearly fit into one category:

Folk/singer-songwriter: Dar Williams, Ani Difranco, Melissa Ferrick, Tegan and Sara, Melissa Etheridge, Rachael Sage, Kristen Hall, Girlyman, Maia Sharp, Jann Arden, Tracy Bonham, Bright Eyes, Bitch and Animal, etc.
Country: The Dixie Chicks, Charlie Robison, Girlyman, Dar Williams, Neko Case, Amy Cook, the Be Good Tanyas, etc.
Techno/Dance/Electronic: The Gossip, Le Tigre, Lesbians on Ecstasy, Esthero
Jazz: Andrea Menard, Frances Faye, Molly Johnson, Maia Sharp
Rap/Hip-Hop: Katastrophe, Missy Elliot, Persia, Eminem, God-Des & She, Public Enemy, N.W.A
Older Stuff (Classic Rock & 80's Music): James Taylor, Bruce Springteen, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, The Go-Go's, The Bangles, Cyndi Lauper, ABBA (guilty pleasue), etc.
Also I love anything musical theatre, especially RENT, Avenue Q, and West Side Story. And I love the music from Sesame Street.
My favourite is heavy metal.

I like UK Goth, Ambient, Electronica, New Age, Trance, Classical, and a few others...none of which are up there :-(
