Maybe the kid was a copycat. Saw what kind of coverage Cho got and the kid decided to try and get some attention himself.

I'm just throwing the idea out there. >>;
Dear Daily Mail:

Repeat after me:

You can have a sociopathic personality disorder, and you can have autism. But you can't have a sociopathic personality disorder related to autism.

Repeat again.

Repeat again.

Repeat until understood.

Genius - the Daily Mail would pay a small fortune to any journalist who could write headlines like that!

How do the Daily Mail manage to be outraged about EVERYTHING? They even manage to get outraged about stuff that it shouldn't be possible to get outraged about! I remember a while back they did an article about self-harm, which depicted depressed teenagers who cut themselves as evil and dangerous satan worshippers. Don't give them counselling, lock them up for the good of the nation!

Oh, and completely off the point - Max The Bear, I love your new avatar Big Grin. It could almost be a photograph of my boyfriend and me, if I was slightly furrier and more bear shaped (my boyfriend is already big and furry and bear shaped).

ah,but scandal,like sex,sells.
ah,the replacement for Terry Nation.

he isnt quite there yet.but the new ones ARE good
Yes I had lectures on anti-social personality disorder. I am of the poinion they should be separate. Psychopaths are the most dangerous of all as they have no outward signs of sociopathy. Then its too late for the victim.
From the Autism Speaks message boards:

I've noticed a common theme among many adults and children with autism and aspergers. Including dozens of posts and threads done here on autismspeaks.com message board, from people of 14yrs old onward.

It's that:
1) Those with autism aspergers are superior beings, more advanced beings, the world would be better with only autistics, neuro-typicals (normal people) take part in meaningless tasks, meaningless lives, are less intelligent, cause problems, the world would be better without them, it would be best if hypothetically we could genetically weed out all the neuro-typicals, most of the greatest humans of history were autistic or aspergers.
Etc

I wonder how close these thoughts and ideas, and directives and wishes, are close to the thought of many sociopaths. Sociopaths who rail and object to and hate others for their success, for their relationships, for their loving wives and husbands and children. They can't stand to see the exchange of love, the success, the well being, the happiness. So they object fiercely against them, and also wish they were gone, think the world would be better without them, criticize and object to them, hate them, think they are superior to them, think that relationships and love are disgusting and meaningless and should be done away with.

I've been struck at the similarity in the line of thinking of many with autism and this. The anti-social thought. It's frightening, and very sad.

I wonder how many sociopaths were, also, Aspergers or autistic. That their hatred for normal persons stemmed from their inability to fit in.

Like some aspergers people boast about some genius aspergers people of history, I think it could also be said there were many sociopath aspergers people of history.

I am so offended at this I hardly kow where to begin. First, no, I do NOT envy neurotypical people for their wives, money, and success. I do not think that relationships and love are meaningless, I do not wish that love and happiness were gone, and I find it deeply offensive to state that autistics are some kind of monster that hate love and happiness. This only adds to the anti-autistic ideaology.

Second, the poster acts as if autistics are the only people ever to claim their lifestyle to be superior to another person's. You know who does that a lot? Neurotypical society. They tell us all the time that we are inferior to them and that the world would be better without autism. They often support genetically weeding out autistics, and yet here someone accuses us of wanting all the NTs gone. I love NTs. They're interesting.

Do NTs participate in meaningless and pointless tasks? Yes, they do. Or at least, the tasks seem pointless to me, just like my tasks seem pointless to them. That's part of the wonderment of life. Other people do things you don't understand. It's fun. Also, many Neurotypicals do cause problems. Lots of people cause problems. Would the world be better off without NTs? I beleive not, but for some autstics, it might be, because it would create a new and more fitting society. The one girl I manage to get along with completely comfortably is an aspie, and some of my best friends are. I get along better with people who share my brain type.

I am sure there have been lots of sociopathic autistics in history. there have also been lots of sociopathic people who are otherwise neurotypical. Nobody's better- let's all just live. I don;t want to wipe out NTs, and I don't want to be wiped out.

Man, this crap is everywhere. This suposed link between sociopathy and autism needs to stop.
Yeh I see that is from that Austism speaks bored. What link between sociopathy and autism? I don't know of one.

I'll give a definition: A sociopath is a psycopath that has managed to hide his sociopathy in public. Actually that will put them under the one umbrella, antisocial personality disorder.

Psycopaths just know they are superior to everyone else who must bow and scrape to them or lose their head.
