Shelving errors annoy me a bit, actually. (There's just no order to the universe!!

The Celts have a war goddess not a war god, isn't that too nutty.
Feminine symbols of war are not particularly uncommon, but it is unusual not to have any male deity associated with war.

Ooh I love Latin! It has a gazillion words for "kill" and no word for "please".
'
What about the words 'placeo' and 'placo'? I never was good at latin, but some words do come up now.
"placet" = "it pleases"
There is a word for the verb "to please" (Placere) but not "please" in the sense of making a request.
(...Because Romans don't do requests, just demands!!!

But Tim, what about Afghanistan and Pakistan?BTW The word "bashi" means chieftan; the turkish word for father is "ata"[hence *Ataturk*]. And, Yunanistan is the turkish name for greece.
Finally, when you think of the 'Stans, dont forget the biggest one: Hindustan

Emmy: The (official)languages of Afghanistan and Pakistan are NOT related to Turkish!!! The peoples of those 2 countries speak Indo-Iranian languages like they do in India and Iran.What you said applies ONLY to the 'Stans that were former soviet republics! Besides, I guess you dont get it when I said Yunanistan(greece in turkish). *sigh*

OOPS! Sorry Emmy, I didnt realize that your reply was in red!
I was addressing Tim Homer. BTW folks, "Stan" is a word of indo-iranian loanword(in turkic) meaning "country" or "land of".

Near Seattle's Wooland Park Zoo is a small park called: woodland park as you might've guessed. This park is notorious for (gay)Bathroom Buggery. Guys shamelessly pegg each other in the public restroom; whats more is that when high school sports team train in the park they're often approached by adult gay men-usually guys who arent out looking for a buttbang.

WHY, oh Why are (US)Republicans the overwhelming majority when it comes to involvement in gay sex scandals??
