Overall it is a nice chat room, but like any other population it has some members who don't get along and unfortunately choose to continue fighting instead of simply leaving each other alone.  One thing I've learned from nearly 19 years at the same workplace is that if people are around each other long enough, there will be misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and fights.  Most of us in chat do manage to get along and have fun...

Pakrat, when were you there?  Sorry I missed you...the time difference between Australia and the U.S. must be the reason.  There are quiet times in chat, but other times are quite, um, chatty!

I believe Ian is using self-deprecating humor here.  Calling oneself a "***," as he does in his first post, is hardly flattering either.  He can be a bit sarcastic at times.
