I'm looking forward to seeing the film as well. If the DVD ever comes out, I'll be lying in front of the doorstep at the record store the morning it comes in! Wink

Unfortunately there isn't much news from Milennium Films as on their websites. IMDB doesn't help there either, although the shooting is completed but that's about everything I know. If anyone has more news on the release of the film (Mid-February?), just drop a line!

And Jerry: Got a good point there!

Your minority opinion. That movie was loved by millions. But the obvious truth that Hollywood can't tolerate a good movie about Christianity or fiscally back it. Not hard to imagine why.

OTOH, "Schindler's List" and any other movie that serves the purpose of american zionism (paralyze the goyim with holocaust guilt so they keep supporting Israel) gets Hollywood money and a fast track to the Oscars.

                     That is BIGOTRY and RACISM.

I certainly felt that way when Feirhenheight 9/11 won the "so called" people's choice award.  That was totally bogus, it was like number 17 in box office, it was not really even a movie that it should have been in the catagory in the first place, there was no way I could ever believe it would beat Shrek 2 and Spiderman 2 (let alone the other dozen movies ahead of Moore's whatever he put on celluloid).  After seeing that I knew for a fact that it was not the people's choice.  I wonder who these people are.  Most Americans voted for Bush and many more saw the other 16 films in greater numbers than that of Moore.  This was so obviously fixed.  I have not seen fix this obvious since the last Don King arranged fight.

Incididentally, are there many movies about or with autism or aspergers, good or decent, out in circulation?

"Idiot Savant" is just another bad term, invented by professionals who have to keep finding ways to put us down.

Stella,  Can you prove that the 19th century people who "widely used" that term didn't include professionals?  I doubt it.

I once asked The Man why he kept oppressing me.  He replied, "Because you seemed to want it so much, it was all you ever talked about; I figure, if I'm going to be blamed for something, I might as well have done it, and without me to oppress you, give you your one and only name, the name you take pride in, 'the oppressed,' well, what would you call yourself?  I oppress only to be merciful."
Don't get upset, I'm not a troll, or at least not so blatant a troll as you think.  I am aware of what is going on, and I think it is reprehensible.  No autistic could possibly approve of brainwashing.  I was replying largely to the put-upon attitude in Jerry's posts.  He sounded like the Black Panthers talking about The Man and his extraordinarily convoluted conspiracies to keep Our People down.  Just some minor (but probably overly pointed, if so, sorry) sarcasm.

Jerry who?  What posts do you refer to?  Not me.

I'm not sure where to put this but since it's a MATW topic I guess this is the right place for it...

Is there any news on the production or progress of MATW? I checked every web site and reference there is on Google... and there's no such thing as a release date to be found anywhere. No news on whether the project has been frozen in post-production or something... the website is still the same one as it was back in spring 2004.

Maybe Jerry can shed some light on this matter?
I've seen on a handful of sites that it's supposed to be released October of this year.

Splat, you really think that the internut sites know more about the release date than I do or the producers of the movie do?

There is no official release date. What you may have read on IMDB or other internut sites is just speculation.

We'll let ourselves be surprised. I live in the Netherlands so if the film is going to be produced for TV it'll end up on my screen --- about 6 months from the original release date ...

Dropping a torrent for the movie or something is plain illegal, but my guess is some person will.

It may be in a theater there. I am not sure which countries already bought theater rights for this in advance.

I doubt the movie will show in a theater here. It premiered Oct 21st according to RottenTomatoes.com but strangely enough I'm already getting a DVD rip from the 'net. I haven't seen ANY info on the Web regarding theatrical releases and where the movie will show. But if it shows in NL, I definitely will go and see it!
Well, probably someone got a copy of the DVD (strangely enough, given the theatrical was just 3 weeks ago) and made a copy of it, and shared it online. I know, I know, I'm a leecher, but in our country it's actually *legal* to download MP3's, movies, etc. for personal use. Also considering the fact that I really want to see this movie and I'm pretty sceptical on the Dutch theatres picking it up. The people who are up to speed on Serenity know what I'm talking about. It only screens in 12 theatres throughout the entire country and even THAT's a Universal production!
Yap. Me too. But I'm definitely sceptical about the fact that the Dutch theatres will pick this one up. Could maybe be shown on TV or something. And about a DVD, I'd really want to buy it if it's available. I'm just downloading the movie since there's no other way for me to see it (except wait for the DVD if it even comes out, or go to the US) and I do this with other TV shows as well (fx. Threshold doesn't show on Dutch television, as does Stargate:Atlantis and the new Galactica series. The only last resort is to download them and get the DVD boxed sets later)... I've talked to Tony Amendola and Alexis Cruz from Stargate on the matter and they also think we're in our right, as there is no other way for us to get the shows and movies here.

And BTW: Amy, you're pregnant? Congrats! Big Grin
