Like all other places people gather, there can be personality conflicts in this place. This leads to some bullying and the criticism of things that should be allowed to pass by, and the picking of fights. Not too bad overall, here, though.
I find it in particular irritating when someone tries to crush someone else's morale/spirit, and then says "but I laughed at the end, to show it was a joke." Meaning- I have just been cruel to you, and now I will be cruel to you again and say you are flawed in that you 'cannot take a joke'. Being a bully with a smile on your face still leaves you a bully.
Bullies, hmmmm, I remember those. I see them all the time in McDonalds.
No problem. And if you ever need any help coping, you know where to come. And I know how to deal with bullies if you ever need help with such problems.

It's extremely hard to find a discussion forum that is suitable for someone like myself. Unfortunately being online brings out the worst in some people. It doesn't help that my interests are just too narrow for most sites to cover effectively. I've been pleasantly surprised by AFF so far.
I get a lot out of this forum and like the fact that it's so active. The only other good one I know (& I'd rate it at about the same level) is Wrong Planet. Between the two I can get all the Internet interaction/reading time I want.
