We all know CAN is short for 'Cure Autism Now', but what does it REALLY mean? If you ask me, it TRULLY stands for 'Crap & Nonsense'.
I wonder if they wont try to establish any kind of "cure" without anything bad with it.

I believe "can" is also a US slang word for "toilet". I don't think CAN would want their acronynm associated with the idea of toilets but then again, maybe nobody there got the connection.
Speaking of which, I like that they used to have the "dunny can man" == the man who would come and clean the outhouse. (And I thought my job was bad sometimes...)
Yes, the can man in the "tan" van. I think they came around once a week. The cans would have been very heavy (larger families then) and highly pongy. In the rural areas, I think the dad or one of the grown up sons (if any) had the charming job of digging a large hole and disposing of the can contents.
