Okay I'll throw you a curve. How about Aspies that are afraid to meet other aspies? More than of meeting NTs due to the fear that other aspies/auties might behave in unexpected ways, say uncomfortable things or violate personal space. It may be hard to fit in with NTs but at least with NTs there is some safety of expecting them to behave within the guidelines of etiquette rules and social norms. Plus the added pressure that you'll have to pretend they aren't weirding you out because it is not politically correct to scream and run.
The scary part about the natural evolution of homo-sapiens is that the evolved version usually "takes over".
By "takes over" I mean anything that YOU want it to mean...

Well, it's not like an Aspie cant be phobic of other Aspies, too. Kind of like a guy who's insanely homophobic and secretly gay, because he doesn't want to face himself and deal with it.
I've known a couple of homophobics like that. You listen to them rant and you're thinking "Dude!"
I'm an aspie-phoebic then. Read this site as a fly-by for months before I would member-ize. And that's online, so I don't expect I need to point out the "safety" inherent in that and why I like it.
To meet you in person? Scared to death of all ya'll would-be swans (including auties in here, too).
Precisely for the reason silky said. The odd duck has been playing hide-n-seek for so long, I don't know what to do with another human face-to-face, if they don't act like anything I've written a program for handling. I have been mostly surrounded by people who 1) obviously didn't think like I did 2) were oblivious to the fact that I didn't 3) couldn't understand why I didn't act like they did....you know the drill.
Not claimin' any label so far but heck, if the shoe fits...I must be an aspiephobic. Yeesh, now what's the 12-steps for that?
Aspies can't take over for the reason that if Aspies become a majority they will no longer be Aspies (really, imagine all NTs disappear. Then Aspies would be.... forced to socialize with each other (otherwise the civilization would simply collapse), i.e. develop social skills. And since bad social skills is the main criterion of Asperger's, it would mean that Asperger's will not exist anymore - everybody will have social skills. I just think that socializing "rituals" in a "Aspie-dominated" world would be different than in the modern NT-dominated world).
Nothing personal against you my friend, but aren't we conversing right here?
I don't have a problem with talking to someone this way.
And besides, wasn't artificial insemination "figured out" 30 years or so ago?

~chuckles~ is why I think specti are the next "modern human" and the Neanderthals are gettin' nervous...
Well, mick, you could try meeting some members in the chat room.
~sheepish~ well I keep trying but keep getting denied by IRC. Now considering its been about 10 (yes 10) years since I've chatted via IRC, I figured it was something I wasn't doing right but hadn't had the mental umph to figure it out...
(truth being I keep getting caught up in the boards
)
Me? I am a counter-aspiephobe.
ArtSem, I think it was figured out by Orwell's time, 1949, if not a hell of a lot earlier. The People's Almanac #2 covers a lot of sexual history and mentions artificial insemination used in the 1600s, "the result, a bouncing success."
