has anyone on or has been on Topamax? I'm currantly on it right now for my simple partial and myclonic seizures, it is also supposed to help my ADD. This is the second day im on it and it feels like the magic is gone from my brain, I dont know if thats a good or bad thing. Any takes on this?
I am suppose to take Topamax for my migraine headaches. It blocks the sensation of pain.  It was werid the first week I took, I felt like I knew I was having a migraine, but didnt feel the pain.. it was wild.  I havent taken it lately.

But I wonder, isnt the magic what makes you who you are.  I am not a drug fan anymore after my daughters experiences.

But if you need it for your seizures then that might be different.
i mean it helps me focus and everything but it feels like im stuck on the outside of my brain instead of being trapped inside of it, but no as im getting used to it im more able to float between these states of minds. I havent had anby simple patial seizures but im still having my myoclonic ones.
I remember that I felt successful and not so depressed some time ago. After some time of feeling like that I felt that I didn't really "live" or "feel". I actually began to wish I had a depression, I regret that now as I feel a little down at this point.
When I take migrene medication I can tell the body register pain because I sweat in my hands and stuff.
wierd...if I take the medication early enough I dont really feel the pain, just observe the body register the pain...
But if I take it in the middle of a seizure then it just doesnt help.
However anti-epleptica helps quite a lot,but than again,I rarly have attacs and only at night for some nonunderstandable reason.

This medication might not be the ideal drug for you - you may need more time to adapt to this medication - maybe the dosage needs adjusting.
You shouldn't have to put up with unpleasant side effects - give it a little time - but do tell you doctor how it makes you feel.
I agree!
Tell your doctor about it.
