Oprah doesn't have those sort of programs. She may not eat hamburgers any more but I guarantee she loves kids. Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to catch the program. Not that I'm trying to proselytize, but I've found that people in the Unitarian Universalist church I attend are quite accepting. Tolerance and respect for differences is a hallmark of the association.

Heh. Funny. The entire curebie mob "loves kids"--just ask them.
Can't stand Oprah. She had a lady guest who can't deal with people touching her. They had her family on and talked about how her husband and kids felt about it and she described how upsetting being touched is for her. (She has to scrub herself after.) What infuriated me was at the end of the show, Oprah made it a point hug the woman and put her hands in the woman's hair and rubbed it violentley to mess it all up, in a gesture that said "Well *I'M* gonna TOUCH all over so THERE!" I was so angry at her for deliberately doing to someone what they confessed to being phobic about... on national television. I think every guest should ruin Oprah's hair.
I smell an opportunity (and I'm usually a diehard pessimist). The difference between this and other cure autism campaigns is Oprah has a
message board, which we can join en masse and offer our perspective on the issue, and answer viewers' questions. Technically not illegal, and the worst case scenario is we get the whole thread deleted, and gain nothing and lose nothing (to minimize that risk we just have to follow the
rules). The best time to start would be 4:00 EDT tomorrow since the first airing of the show will be ending. So what do you think? Am I insane, or is it worth a try?
Hell, why not? Links, anyone?
Here is the oprah website with a preview video. At the bottom of the page there is a link to the message board
