If we took over the world then we'd have to manage it. I'm not really up for that since it would cause me to much stress.

My reply was a polite "no thank you, it is bad enough being responsible for your own screw ups without having to worry about those of the folks you manage"

"Autism Epidemic" is just a phrase that was coined by the press. An epidemic implies that AS is contagious and is spreading uncontrollably (A clear demonstration that shows just how ignorant and biased the mass media is).
Of course, it is true that we have gotten better at diagnosing people with AS and so there will be more of them recognized and diagnosed nowadays.
As for taking over the world, I don't even think we could ever muster up the manpower necessary to conquer the world given that we exist in so few numbers. It is much better and much more practical to do it through democratic/political or economic means.

Re this thread, look at it this way: Once it gets out that Aspies are brilliant at what they enjoy/perserverate at, they will be a rush to 1) finally admit them into certain enclaves (e.g., private schools who currently don't want to be bothered or lack the resources to teach Aspies), and 2) employ them in certain professions, particularly. For example, in India the Shiks (a type of Muslim)are regarded as having a really good work ethic and so are sought after. Aspies will finally reap that sort of success I think. I hope I live to see it.

if i were to take over the world, shortly afterward i would put a massively powerful and independently thinking computer to rule over most things, and I'd simply veto all descions i didnt think would benefit the people.
