I see nothing wrong with Lenny Schafer's sentiment about the irresponsible women who fathered people he adopted or, for that matter, the cowardly men who walked away from their responsibility.

Considering the rampant sexual irresponsibility of our youth, it would be wise to sterilize everyone at birth and reverse the operation only once they have shown an ability to be responsible parents.

So Lenny is not fathering a grandson. More than likely, he did not know Zak is autistic and he hasn't deserted him or dumped him in a group home which happens, especially in  the northeast to auties as young as six.

Lenny is certainly a lot more big-hearted than men who knock up women and walk away to their next conquest. I would have no problem spaying any man who walks away from his paternal responsibility. Birth control for men is a piece of cake. I know. I had my fair share of fun as a student at Michigan in 1966-70 and never put a woman in that position.    If had, I would have done the right thing. I was prepared to marry a girl who was seven weeks late on her period but it was just a close call.

The last three posts made more sense than mine. Lenny is very judgmental and I erred that way, too. Not all adoptions are caused by deadbeat dads.

I am glad my wife wasn't forced to have an abortion. She raised two sons, one on the spectrum for sure and the other a little bit. Both are grownup and self-sufficient. One is now a father so Mary is a grandmother.
