Yes, because all IQ tests test is your ability to take IQ tests[it usually gets easier with age]. You would have to have a much more specialized and individualized test to find out your true intellegence level. But, your IQ doesn't really matter anyway, you can already tell if you are "smart" or not.

Take kids with Autism, for example. They supposedly have high IQs, but they are idiots. So your IQ doesn't matter, as it is just another pointless number, useless for anything but frivilous competition.

I haven't had an iq test in ages. I took one on tickle and made an 80, only because I acted completely retarded.

Very few Autistics are idiot-savants, most are just plain fucking idiots. By very few, I mean an Autistic genius is about as rare as a normal person genius, the rest are fucking stupid and useless.

That's what I was getting at. Even though the Autistic have supposedly high IQs, they are still complete morons. An IQ means nothing in reality because of that.

Yes, but 99% of them don't have high IQs.

Oh, I feel stupid now that I understand what you were saying...

If most people are going to be like this they won't have my own ringtones I made.
I don't think the world's superpowers having anything to worry about from these guys
Most 'low functioning' autistics do in fact have below average IQs, but Aspergers is a different matter.  May I rather smugly say I have a mensa level IQ? Tongue screw whoever was saying that crap!
Some people are just trolls who write provocative stuff (like calling autistics retards or idiots) because it gives them kicks. It's sad but I guess not responding to these people might be the only way to stop them getting their kicks from enraged responses. And some people are just plain stupid and uninformed, and in most cases they prefer to remain "blissfully" so  Sad
I once had a special class (it has its own name but some dumbass NT made it up and it spells ARSE and we just prefer to call it special class) substitute teacher who went about telling us all that we were stupid, or we wouldn't be in special class...   We got him 'removed' but I couldnt stand the temptation to have a little fun with him first, asked him a couple of molecular biology (my special interest) questions, he had the funniest confused look on his face.
maybe someone here will know this....

i am not a conspiracy theorist (pointless exercise), but this sounds as though it could be logical, so...  i have heard that MENSA might give IQ scores to interested agencies, presumable for the purposes of recruitment of the "brainees".  i've taken their basic test, and, as i hit the ceiling for marks, they keep inviting me to take their industrial strength test.  i've always been reluctant (although i'd like to know my IQ according to them - the ceiling is 155, btw) as i have no wish for the tireseome invitations to join a thinktank.

does anyone know if this little idea is true, or if i am utterly deluded?  (if it's the latter, i shall go off in my spaceship with the little green men instantly).

p.s.  Amy - i love the new avatar - a veritable herd of cats!
Wouldnt they need people's permission to give out personal information?
As far as I know they do charge people to take the official test. They do spam it to people to make money and increase membership.

Is your avatar from a cartoon?
it's Puss-in-Boots from Shrek 2!

"and for you, Amy... I could be...!"  Wink

I don't understand what your last name and junk like that has to do with your IQ. That doesn't prove anything, other than that Tickle is indeed evil.

I took their IQ test once, and when they asked for my last name, I typed in "Lastname" instead of my actual last name. That evil bot busted me, not even reading it like bots do! I mean, who ever heard of "Michelle Lastname"? Even my ferrets could tell it was a fake last name and they can't read!

Stupid bots...annoying COPPA...I despise Tickle and their evil ways. (Hey, that rhymes!)

:!: Mich :?:

LOL Lastname
I know some guy who claims his IQ is over 220.  Could this be true?

He is a research scientist and veterinary doctor.   He used to bother me about being Aspie.  Then he started reading up more about it on the internet as I pointed out to him that other people around thought there was "something really different about him".  Then he was calling everyone "neurotypical".  Now he does not bother me about being aspie.
Which test did he use? If it was just an online one then I doubt if it was reliable.
He used an on-line test that e-mails the answer.  So I doubt it was reliable.  Anyway, being a veterinary doctor he possesses a lot of knowledge that most people would not know.    It is very very difficult to become a veterinary doctor in Canada.
If it was an intelligence quotent test which was taken on line I doubt its credibility very much. However according to  the Guiness Book of Records, the smartest person in the world is Marilyn vos Savant who scored IQ 228 Terman as a 10 year old. This would, according to recent research, correspond to about IQ 185 at adult age. That score is, at least, surpassed by the chess player Bobby Fisher (187).
