So today in my genetics class, someone was doing their presentation on Fragile X syndrome, and mentioned behavioral therapy as a 'treatment,' I couldn't pass up an opportunity like that, now could I? So i just piped up and asked if the speaker was aware of what exactly that type of therapy consisted of, and that it was in fact more or less child abuse, she replied that she was unaware of that but that it was unable to help most patients, I hope that bit stuck with a couple of students.
