i got the  book strange son by Portia Iversen  form the libary i new i was going to be quite curebie but  i have read the review and it sounds just awful i will read it anyhow so i can bash  on amazon the author is the founder of CAN.

  also they are turning the book into a movie.

Perhaps they didn't have a decent thesaurus.

What's wrong with IS autistic. To me that just sounds a whole lot better.
People say that "is autistic" makes autism sound like the whole person. But it's obvious it isn't. It's like saying "is blue-eyed"... and it's obvious that blue eyes are only a small part of who you are. Autism affects you much more than blue eyes; I don't understand the politically-correct dancing around, either. It just seems to me like a contest: "Who can seem most compassionate, and be the most condescending?"
Maybe the kids are afflicted by having the parents they do.
