Most people complain there is nothing to do out here, so one could feel isolated. But being an Aspie gamer, I love it out here. Nothing but WoW and D&D. Woohoo.

Yes they are. My summer home is on a lake in Illinois and my winter home is in the desert in Arizona. I explored nearly every warm city from Carolina to California before settling in Tucson.

a. keep two weeks of canned food and water
b. keep pre-cut pieces of plastic and duct tape as shelter-in-place (defense against chemical and radiological, tape them up in the event of an alert)
c. keep at least half a tank of really expensive gas in your tank at all times (don't be that lady in Atomic Train (Kristin Davis?) running out of gas just before the bomb blows), 3/4 is better
d. know where you're going in the event of an evacuation. Shepherdstown West Virginia.

Yes, Kristin Davis, with Esai Morales (cop and ex husband) having the shootout at the gas station with the Colorado's People's Militia (selling gas at $20 a gallon, cash only)....
