A distributed computing project from Stanford University:

Its goal is to study the folding and misfolding of proteins, and you can download a client that will let you help in the research when your pc is idle. Works on pretty much every PC with Windows or Linux and Macs with OSX, and they recently released a client for the Playstation 3.
haha! My PC is pretty much NEVER idle.
Well I found out I can run the client nicely when I'm just surfing the web Smile
nope,my pc is rarely idle.my sister is using it during the day whilst i am at college,and i am on it though to about 1-2am each evening.then its either v-scanning,defragging,or downloading.
