Wrote monthly columns for a magazine for a few years. At first it was a grand catharsis. Eventually it was a drag meeting the next deadline when I was burned out. It was a good experience but I don't want to have to write anymore.
I had my letter to the "Lipstick and dipstick" advice column in Curve magazine answered, no joke.
In Entertainment Weekly one of my Alias fanfics was written about. That's the greatest thing to happen to me ever.
short stories are tricky, but they're actually my favorite form of prose. a well written short story can be absolutely brilliant; it's much harder to pull a really good novel off.
I stick to factual books. Self publish six so far on business, mainly setting up and advertising. They were flogged by mail order. Its a while ago but I may create some more. The ABC of Social Interactions??? (instead of the crap that I see for children at school, happy / sad faces, give us a break)
