I don't listen to the stuff much now, but I did back in school.  I thought others here might find this interesting.

This report might be misleading at first glance. Only 6% of the top students listed heavy metal as their favourite musical genre, so while listening to heavy metal obviously does not preclude a child from being intelligent, this test shows no real correlation between listening to metal and high intelligence. If they had done a study across the g.p.a. spectrum it might have been marginally more informative. Sorry to bitch, but these pseudo-scientific articles irritate me.
