I recorded a few examples of myself playing instruments in my bedroom. Just click on any of the links to watch.

Hahah this is great.

In dx7 you played the first 3 chords of a song from "the neverending story".

Looks like a nice setup.  Do you use only hardware?

I program (as in c++ programming) soft synths and use crappy keyboards with it, but I think computers take the creativity out of music for one reason or another.
Computers can take the creativity out of music if you (for example) get a copy of ejay and compose using a load of pre-recorded samples then lay them out according to a template, but if used properly a computer can be a very good tool for the musician. I record and mix all my own music using a piece of software called audacity. I sometimes make use of software synths and MIDI sequencers to generate certain sounds. This has led to some very original sounds which i could not  create using traditional instruments. Try to make a similar sound to a pile of sine wave generators and a backwards accoustic guitar without the use of a computer.

Computers can produce "musical script kiddies" but they can also aid in the production of new and original sounds. Go listen to some industrial noise.
oh yes, I agree completely.  If you like industrial noise, I wrote this synth and made a "song" with of it:

and since you were speaking of adding sines, I can't help but link you to this:

I'll have to look into audacity.
Sounds pretty nice, reminds me of the cool DX7 sound with just 4 simple chords...

Ever thought of doing Jarre covers or something?

BTW: Jealous @ your gear Wink
