Sounds like a good idea. On an average day there are 4 or 5 new threads. It's just not normal behavior to post dozens of them in just one hour as the last Idjot did. During a time when there were no moderators on-line to report to. Idjot had registred on march 16 and probably just trolled around for a couple of days to get the "feel" of the site. I'm convinced that the trolls can be spotted a lot earlier than now. They ought to be studied very closely...

Well, I guess I was a bit off about my thought on how many threads appear per 24 hours. I thought 4 to 5. It seems more like 8 to 12.
AFF has existed for 1000 days, give or take a few days. The average number of threads are roughly 6.25/24H.
If a system was installed that could monitor the amount of threads/posts one lone member creates in 15 minutes it could be instructed to react to a certain number of threads/posts. The system could be set in motion when there's no Mods or Admins on-line.

i have been thinking, and it wold be impractical to have a gibberish filter, due to Autlang.
i think ichtms is right.
it would have to monitor the number of threads somebody makes, and if it rises above a certain threshold,say,10 threads in 5 minutes, then it temp bans them,or increases the 'cool-down' time between thred creation (as default you have to wait about 30 seconds)
It could also notify the administrators that they may have a troll on their hands.
Racket and Norad is the same.
They both say say Atomikpsycho is immortal.
Atomikpsycho is the username he used at wrongplanet
This actually sounds like a good idea. I mean, all of the other methods of keeping Norad out haven't been successful =/.
I read somewhere that the IP# of the computer that is being used to access and log onto this site is identified in order to ban that computer from further access if it's a destroyer. Am I right? If so. It's not stopping the destroyer to log in via another computer and keep doing damage. It would be interesting to learn where this guy is operating from. And if it's the same guy behind all those different names I'd have to say that we've only seen the beginning.
The photographs that RichardL posted makes me wonder if they were of a totally different person than the guy behind the name.
This is getting creepy!
IP banning stops nothing.
every time you connect to the internet, you will get a a different IP from your ISP,unless your ISP gives out static IPs.most will give out dynamics,i belive.
regardless, the best way to stop him permently is to bloack and log him each time, then report him back to his/her ISP.
ichtms, what pictures do you refer to?
Well, if there was anyway to prevent him from coming back, I'd be glad to help.
In the thread "Post Your Pic" there's pictures of RichardL; supposedly. But with that farewell he gave erkolos (I know only that it was something obscene) I can not but wonder if that was really his real self depicted in them. Just a thought emanating from my slightly unstructured way of thinking. I've read to much about the art of profiling criminals.
If it would make it harder for the troll to do us harm, or even stop them from doing it, it would be a good idea. But what does it cost?
I mean what it would cost to purchase an anti spam bot. Or are there bots that are free? Where you here the last time "racket" vomited on us?

you can make a bot.i dont know how t make a bot but wiki does.
bots can be created at home,im sure there are programmers here,or you can buy one,but i doubt it'll do exactly what we want
bot is a computer program as such you can program it to do just about any thing. even sing show tunes in certain ways or monter posts.
