in latin:ego favit acceptance,et omnis ad proprius vita.

Neurotypical Disorder affects 164 out of 165 people.  They could "cure" that and make some real money.  Tongue

hehehe...some of those at the more extreme end of the NT spectrum might not see any ethical issue with that.

Sorry - sick humor again, not meaning to "*** on anyone from a great height".

most perple put j/k or it a joke.

I need to start off by saying that i do understand that these are almost all jokes

That being said, i detect a strong undercurrent of frustration and anger directed towards the NT's. I think that a lot of people on this forum need to get rid of that. It seems as if one of the things people here don't like about "NT's" is that they're generalizing a lot when it comes to people with any kind of disorder. What i see here is a repetition on our part of the same thing.

We all need to realize that everyone are individuals, and just because those people you know and who are close to you all seem to view AS as a disease and bully everyone they see as different, that doesn't mean the other NT's do.

Also, aspies are not better than NT's in ANY way! We're just different! Our perceived "superiority" comes from a tendency to analyze things logically and to be quite obsessed with one thing alone, giving us tremendous skills IN THAT PARTICULAR AREA. I get really frustrated when i hear people saying stuff like "an aspie would have the sense not to do drugs/drink alcohol" or anything else that glorifies aspies, we're not better, just different. Remember that
what would happen to us?

"Not better, just different" as a generalization makes no sense to me. The word "better" itself means nothing without context. Better how? What's a "better" tool? A hammer or a saw? Depends on what you want to do with it.

The whole concept of better is annoying. I'd like to propose that it be abolished.  "Suitable" might be a better word to start using, since most people get that it is a context sensitive word. You almost never hear it used without context. You DO hear the word "better" used without context as a generalization.

better as in a being or human.

we are geraliraling from the worst in our indevual areas.

There may be hope for a physical cure, but at the moment I think we will have to focus on behavioural training. I suggest integrating basic and advanced logic into public school curricula all over the world.

What we need, is for the curebies to find a cure, that is, find the genes responsible for HFA (preferably, IMPO), clone them into a nice little retrovirus, and bang! voila, everyone turns autistic Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

<sick humor continues...>
So, does anyone think that if Asperger's were to be made contagious, it would make people smarter when they catch it?  Of course, this being a "nice" website, I can't utter my suggestion on how the virus could be transmitted.  Tongue

as if we would have you.Tongue

Well, as I think that it is a genetic difference, I believe that we should perhaps just out-breed them. Wink

That's alot of breeding.  I'm getting exhausted just thinking about it.  Imagine what the world population woud be when we finally catch up to them.

Seriously, after reading some abuse stories here, maybe whoever wants kids should consider caring for the living and adopt aspie kids who are probably rotting away in foster care.  But then, after reading some more stories here, my guess is some of these "victims of aspie parents" groups would get in the way.

We wouldn't be "special" any more as everybody would have similar traits to us.
