Everyone's "weird" or "different" at some point, even NT folks, so even though I've had those words thrown at me before I've never thought much of them. Some that I found more intriguing were
Unpredictable
Pretentious
Show-off
Creepy/scary (mostly with the opposite sex)
I was also once asked (with a straight face) by one of my classmates in secondary school whether I was an ugly baby. How charming!
Normally I don't really react to much that people call me... I couldn't care less because people who only insult others - especially those who are different to them - do so to hide their own insecurities.
Some of the things I've been called are amongst the following...
"Cryptic"
"Loner"
"Oddball"
"Weirdo"
"Geek"
...a few "nicer" ones, mainly by those who know me, include:
"Adorable"
"Sweet"
"Gentle"
"Lovely"
"Gentleman"
People say i'm eccentric, and it makes me go like this:
A close friend once described me as the "nicest a*shole she's ever met". My friends all think I'm a weirdly knowledgable weirdo, I guess, and I'm not particularly fussed.
I genuinely don't care if people don't like me, and I'm not fussed if they express that with petty insults, not that I've ever noticed people doing that about me.
my friends really like me. they see me as a funny, caring guy.
the general public sees me as a freak who does not fit in with them. i guess you could say i dress "punk", though i'm not one anymore. people are just shocked by me. they stare and laugh. it's pretty pathetic on their part. this is why i'm not a fan of people.
i've been called every name in the book. it really hurts. i wish i didn't care what people say about me, but it's hard not to. it's hard to understand these jerks.
You SEEM like a very smart fellow, but you really should get some therapy.
I see no reason to care, really.
I'm so used to hearing negative things that well, why should I bother with them idiots. I'm not in a position were I could change anything. I was at a new years party and it was me and 6 other people. At one point the host talked to some other people on the phone at another party and they asked which were at the place were I was and it was ok if they came while I was not wanted there. Don't tell him this they said. It was because I sometime smell of sweat. Which is true (I stink - therefore I am). The host said, well phukk them, we're not coming. It's such an idiotic remark. I think it's hilarious.
And note! It's not me thinking these things, or mouthing them, so it has to be figments of their own minds. Not my mind...
I worry that people think I'm a loser in that I am 27 and still live with my parents.

Heh, some of us STILL love Transformers. *points to my avatar*
Anyway-- I've been called lots of things. My favorite, as a child, was "Walking Encyclopedia". I didn't realize it was meant as a slur until later. The sad part was that it was a teacher who did this-- even wrote up a fake award and stuff and gave it to me in front of the class. I didn't show my mother until much later -being embarrased-, and she was furious that an adult had done that to me.
I still think about that now though. Not anger over it-- but just the meaning. Does it mean that everyone else is a tedious book about one subject, while I'm an entire set of volumes with brief entries about everything? I'd say I got the better deal if that's the case...

That's strange. I always thought that "Walking Encyclopedia" was a compliment. Whenever people told me that, I said, thank you. And I wasn't sarcastic about it either.
Some people say I'm smart and some say I'm a dag but I don't think they really know how to classify me as I'm too different to the norm.
What is a dag? (I like your avatar Pakrat)
Instead of 'walking encyclopedia' people used to say to me 'brain of Britain' or 'brain the size of a planet'. Despite the fact I am not the brain of Britain, and it isn't the size of a planet, I always took it as a compliment. I cannot see how it could be a negative thing unless said in a sarcastic manner.
Bob, a "dag" is a person who isn't interested in the latest fashions, often likes things from the 70's or 80's, is a bit untidy, and is very down to earth.
Thanks about the avatar; it is a picture of me taken a few years ago with my younger daughter. I don't look much different these days apart from having put on a bit more weight. I usually wear glasses but the picture was taken early in the morning before I put them on.
The one I often got was "you could really make something of yourself if you just tried harder". So they were saying I was a non-person?
I wouldn't change it. They have the right to think what they want, and I have no business changing it..
