Myth #2

Autism is life long.

There is a growing body of evidence that children properly
treated for mercury poisoning fully recover normal functioning
and are indiscernible from their neurotypical peers.

Any toxicologist will tell you that mercury poisoning represents a
temporary, treatable state. Thorough removal of mercury will
resolve most or all of the symptoms. Autism is only life long if
mercury poisoning is never treated.

Jean, I want to give you an update on Garrett's progress.

He has started sleeping in his own bed and going to bed has gotten so
much easier. When he is ready for bed he says "sleepy" and goes
to his room, all I have to do is tuck him in and sit there with
him and he rolls over and falls asleep.

He has also started going potty all by himself, he comes running
down the hall with his pants in tow saying "good boy, good job".

I would also like to come down and take advantage of that dolphin
treatment that we had talked about, how can I get some information
about that?

Myth #3

Autistic children are not affectionate and do not like to
be held or touched.

This is an unfortunate myth. Many autistic children are
extremely affectionate and love to be held and hugged.

Subject: America's Progress Report

Jean,

Welcome back, We missed you while you were away.

America had her annual CPSE meeting last week. These
meetings that used to last an hour are now four minutes
long.

Byonetics is responsible for 90% of this. The other ten persent of this is
the hard work from her Mother, myself, her school,and therapy.

She now has several hundred words, and about 50 of these words
she is putting in there proper context. She has always loved to
hold books in her hand as a security thing.

Now she is learning to read them. I know for You, Jean, it was
comics that got you intersted in reading. For America its Dora the
Explorer and Sponge Bob. They have these wonderful books
that talk back to  you and make it very interesting.

We can't thank you enough.

I hope that every Autistic Person finds you as easily as we did.

Myth #4

Autistic children are in their own world and are not
interested in other people.

Mercury poisoning overloads the senses and can make sights,
sounds, touch, and smells intolerable. This sensory overload
causes some autistic children to withdraw inward as a means of
survival - it is their body's way of coping with the massive
sensory overload.

Subject: Erika We just had Erika's 6th birthday party yesterday. It was a pool
party. She opened her presents with expression & comments on
everyone. She didn't just open, look & utter noises.

Most of the adults present commented on how she reacted & some didn't even
know how she was before this. She said oohh, wow & it's Erika's
after opening almost everything.

A dress was the only thing that didn't get pulled out of her hands.
She held hands with the other girls to jump in the pool. She splashed
water & played games with children & used her words to ask for equipment.
It was great & a milestone accomplished.

Myth #5

If you have autism, you are mentally handicapped.

Some autistic children are given IQ tests, which were created
for people not suffering from mercury poisoning. Because of the
limitations caused by sensory overload and damage to the brain
and central nervous system, some autistic children perform
poorly on the IQ test and are labeled "mentally handicapped."

Many recovered autistic children are performing at or above
their peer group in a variety of topics in school. There is even
some evidence to suggest that telligence and the impaired
ability to detoxify may be related through DNA and that, in
fact, those most susceptible to mercury poisoning are among our
most intelligent.


Most parents of an autistic child know that
their child is very bright and many clinicians treating autistic
children assert that their patients are among the most
intelligent children they have ever seen.

Myth #6

There is no autism epidemic, it's just better diagnosis.

This myth persists despite being refuted by a wide range of
scientists, policy makers, and health care organizations. All
the available data points to an epidemic. Between 1992-2002, the
Department of Education estimates that there has been a 714%
increase in the number of autistic children.

Jean,

The twins have grown so much Jean, the changes since the onset
of treatment went from day to night and night to day again.

What we thought we knew about their limitations is now a blurr. What
we thought was regression was actually a sign to us to change
directions about their educational placement. We were blessed to
have them transfer to a brand new school and away from the VERY
negatively charged school they were in. . and I mean that
literally and no in a superstitious fashion.

Our twins have grown and changed so much over the last year
since treatment started that I don't know how to say it
correctly. I wish I had a hundred questions from you so that I
could just answer all that would help you and others to know.
Clearly, we still are facing Autism but its not the
same...instead of trying to keep ahead of it...like racing a
train...we're floating alongside it.. like a boat...in the
water...gaining on it. Now we can feel the sun on our face and
the breeze blow gently in our ears as the saltwater tickles our
toes.

Myth #7

The reason that boys represent 80% - 90% of the epidemic
is that autism is an extreme form of the more rigid and
scientific male mind.

Testosterone is a synergistic toxin with mercury which means
that it enhances the toxicity of mercury in the body while
estrogen appears to protect neurons and neuronal fibers from
mercury's toxicity. This synergistic toxicity is the reason for
the high ratio of males in the epidemic.

Jean,

When I saw the CD in the mail I new this one was the
Panacea. I played it all night on loop, and let me tell you,
America responded to this CD in a way words cannot express, but
since this is an email words will have to do.

First off she wanted no help eating her breakfast, which tells me she is no
longer in need of our service around the clock. Quite the
independent Lady. She also is exploring around the house as if
she just moved in. Curious George.

She will repeat almost ever word her Mother says to her and its my job to show her what these words mean.

We had major breakthroughs with the Family CD.

Myth #8

Autism is a complex, multi-factorial epidemic. There are
many different causes that all work together. Mercury may be one
of the factors in creating autism, but saying it is only mercury
is way too simplistic.

This assertion violates a truth that history demonstrates very
clearly: All epidemics in the history of mankind have a simple
cause. An epidemic is a sudden, widespread onset of a disease or
disorder. It is a statistical improbability that 50 unrelated
factors would all simultaneously manifest themselves in 1991
without any precedent. Think bubonic plague, swine flu,
smallpox, HIV, SARS. Think autism.

Jean. . .it's just me. . .

Ralphie said "muma". He also can say "daddy" "come here", name
facial body parts clearly now, "Sarah" and "Tom". He used to
just say half the word, drop the syllable, etc. Except for
"muma". I have not heard him call me "muma" since he was 20
months of chronological age.

Myth #9
Saying that vaccines cause autism will create a return to
unvaccinated children dying from many childhood diseases we have
nearly eradicated.

Thimerosal contains ethylmercury, a potent neurotoxin.
Thimerosal, administered through vaccines, is the primary source
of mercury exposure and the root cause of the autism epidemic.
Thimerosal is an untested, unnecessary vaccine preservative.

Today, most vaccines are available with reduced amounts of
Thimerosal (with the exception of the flu vaccine with 25
micrograms per shot) and are still effective. Many health
organizations, physicians, and scientists agree that there is no
safe level of mercury. Being anti-mercury is distinct from being
anti-vaccine.

Subject: Nicolas's update

Hi Jean!

Everything is going well here. Nicolas is still getting over his
cold so he's a little grouchy lately. That's something I'm not
used to, he's usually a very happy child.

On Friday we had his session with the physical therapist and
Nicolas picked up a four pound ball over his head and threw it!

We sat there amazed!

He was never strong enough to pick it up before. His speech is going
slowly, but he's trying more and more everyday. My husband will
be leaving tomorrow for Romania for three weeks so it should be
interesting to see how Nicolas reacts with his daddy not here.

I'll keep you updated!
