We have a similar taste in music. The only thing I'd change is The Velvet Undergroud in place of Husker Du. I was listening to "Bad Houses" and "Heartbeat" (Big Black), and "Mercy Seat" (Ok, Bad Seeds, not the Birthday Party) just yesterday. Nick Cave is a genius lyricist.

I do listen to a wide range of other stuff, from opera to psy trance to hip hop. The only stuff I really can't bear is pop music. Jessica Simpson makes me want to pour hot lead into my ears.

As for punk, I stopped listening when the Dead Kennedys put out Frankenchrist. Slow was probably my favourite punk band. Tom Anselmi was a one-man riot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RzA0VHcsBY

While I made the mistake to practically give away (for spare change) almost all of the LP:s, 12", 10" & 7"-singles that I had amassed from 1984-1993 around the turn of the century I do have a lot of it on mix-tapes. I've never listened to Whitehouse but I know people who hail them/him. Listened intensely to Nurse With Wound, Coil, Volcano The Bear over the past two years. One tune that I can't seem to listen to much to is The Diamond Sea, by Sonic Youth; great tune to stim to.

I am curious as to what "Nocturnal Emission"-music you've heard. Did you see them live? I managed to see Einst:Neu in 1984 and 1986.

And how do you define pop music? Examples please...

Le Cercle Rouge

Raptureme200! Here's a few tunes. Big Black; Bad Penny, Il Duce, Heartbeat, Racer X, Grinder, Kerosene... Sonic Youth; Death Valley 69, Expressway To Your Skull, Schizophrenia, Pacific Coast Highway (or "PCH"), Youth Against Fascism... Arsenal; Little Hitlers... Pixies; Gigantic, Levitate Me, Debaser... Einstürzende Neubauten; Schwartz, Kalte Sterne, Sehnsucht, Durstige Tiere, Stahlversion, Zum Tier Machen... Nocturnal Emissions (I'd a live LP called something like Befehlsnotstand - The Incomplete Wreck Of The Nocturnal Emissions); Thorn Doors, RTZ Genocide, Are You Feeling, Rabbits Don't Cry, More Mumbo Jumbo, Bite Them Back, Cute Toy Beagle...

Have Fun!

Mudvayne

Mudvayne are very under rated - Not Falling and Happy are my favourite songs of theirs.

Also give some Gary Numan stuff a listen - from Pure (2000) and jagged (2006).

Best stuff on Jagged? Slave, Haunted, Halo and Blind
I've got 2 russian compilation CDs with Coil... 1. Amethyst Deceivers, The Lost Rivers Of London, Ostia, Are You Shivering?, Where Are You?, At The Heart Of It All, A Cold Cell, Batwings, Who'll Fall, The Dreamer Is Still Asleep... 2. Panic, First Dark Ride, Further Back And Faster, The Anal Staircase, Red Skeletons, Scope, Solar Lodge, Blue Rats, A.Y.O.R, The First Five Minutes After Violent Death... I've heard Zoviet France and should have a CD-R somewhere that a friend made for me...  Do you call that what soils your fingers pop music. I'd call it trivial; at best.
Another great tune the deutche Einstürzen Neubauten is Engel der vernichtung (Annihilating Angel), or the whole album Zeischnungen des patienten O.T..
Leaving the 'best' bit aside... I don't judge people's opinions much...

I'm on a bit of a 'Metal/Hard Rock/Alternative' kick to use the broad categorisations from my local music store.

Current faves:

Opeth
Trivium
Ommph!
In Flames
Leaves' Eyes
Nightwish
Lumsk

Other stuff I like:
