I know that most of my favourite songs are rubbishSad
What are your favorite songs, and why do you think that they are rubbish?
If you like the songs, they are not rubbish. Some other people may think your favorite songs are rubbish, but that they think so doesn't have anything to do with you.
I mean't my mum doesn't like my favourite songs but I was wrong.
Whats your top 10 songs?

1. Chemical Brothers: leave home
2. Chemical Brothers: the golden path
3. Prodigy: Everybody in the place [151 and rising]
4.
4. Basement Jaxx: Red Alert
5. Black eyed peas: Pump It
6. Daft Punk: Around the World
7. Franz Ferdinand: Take me out
8. Gwen Stefani: What you waiting for
9. Guns and Roses: Welcome to the Jungle
10. Jamiroquai: Canned Heat
The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy are great. Especially Setting Sun and Shoot Down. Props to anyone who knows how the two are related.

ADAM IS ONLY 5, SO PLEASE BE NICE!

Adam is banned. was that nice? He sure made some confusiing posts yes, but he also asked some questions. I have begun to doubt that a spammer would appear like this.

Wow when I was your age I wasn't even aware of such a thing as bands or music styles. Good taste though Smile

It is normal for Mums not to like your taste in music I find, especially not when they are loud/fast songs. I listened to Simon & Garfunkel for a while when I was about 10 which my mother really liked because she had always liked them when she was younger.

But later I started listening to Chemical Brothers etc. and she really didn't like that.

"Thanks For the Memories" Fallout Boy

Yep. There are a couple of My Chemical Romance songs I love. My Mum hates them

I also like the Scissor Sisters, my Nana can't stand them.

Don't worry about it Adam (if you are genuine and lurking), it's completely normal for parents to hate the music you love- often because it's modern, and to them nothing could match up to the music from 'their day.'

"Take Me Out" and "Around The World" seem to be the pick of that top 10 afaic. My parents never liked my choice of music and thought I would be led astray.
My parents approved of my music.  I'm just worried my fellow Christians think I'm not spiritual enough if I listen to certain stuff (different thread)

My most recent phase was Washington DC radio station DC 101, 2001 to 2003.  Selected favorites include (and I own all my favorites thanks to iTunes)

3 Days Grace                                Animal I Have Become
Linkin Park                                    Faint
White Stripes                                Seven Nation Army,
Godsmack                                     I Stand Alone
Trapt                                           Headstrong
Kid Rock                                       Bawitaba
Incubus                                        Pardon Me

I could go on but I won;t
most of my fave songs are musically amazing, but thats only because i have a musically analytical brain and a music degree...lmao x
