I play the turkish Saz, turkish Tanbur, kurdish Tanbour, persian Setar, persian Tar, afghani Rebab, uyghur Rawap, indian Sitar, Guitar, indian Harmonium, bulgarian Kaval, turkish Darbuka, and Dobro.
I'm just curious as to what instruments other aspie musicians play.
I began on tuba in 6th grade but it was bigger than I was and I couldn't march with it, so I switched to trombone. Then I started spending most of my time in the band room, learning piano, euphonium, trumpet, French horn, oboe, and bass guitar by the time I was out of high school. Since high school I've learnt guitar and drums, and primarily play guitar now, and I've tried to learn on Kasey's alto sax but never seriously.
cool^^
nifty, I really want an Oud but i'm afraid my monetary funds would be counted in negative terms ^^;; (I'd actually love to build one, that would be fun)
Guitar, Bass, Drums and some piano/keyboards. My guitar amps are currently not functioning at the moment.
Tenor Saxophone and the clarinet.
Electric 6 string bass, both fretted and fretless. A little acoustic guitar, some drums.
Guitar.
I played clarinet as a kid, but haven't touched it for years. I don't know how long it would take for me to pick it up again. And I did something that might be called *playing* to a theremin for a while, but it was mostly an experiment and I don't have the theremin any more.
Electric and acoustic guitars, percussion, piano, tjuringa.
Two of my guitar amps are now functioning, the Diezel, and one of the Seymour Duncan Convertables. The other Seymour Duncan needs new power tubes and perhaps grid resistors. The Ampeg needs a few more preamp tubes, and most likely power tubes as well as electrolytic filter capacitor replacement. The Nolan needs tubes, rectification diodes, and most likely the choke hooked up correctly, as the power section was originally a chokeless design. --I bought it as a project amp anyways.
In the 6th grade I began to learn to play the trombone. I loved it, but I was pulled out for homeschooling, sadly, and didn't get to continue with it. So now, I'm learning the bassoon =P.
I've been learning how to play the Great Highland Bagpipes...
I'm taking this year off from my regular school (for testing and analysis and such), so I am practicing at my house. That's pretty messed up (but at the same time funny) about how they don't let anyone play bagpipe at your university. When I lived in my dorms, though, I would see people playing them outside of their dorm buildings.
A bit of the recorder and keyboard/piano
Besides playing electric bass and acoustic guitar, I started playing eDrums three months ago. What a fun, even in the living room.
