Is being uncoordinated and clumsy a part of Asperger's Syndrome? I run into door jambs a lot, and I can't dance or follow aerobics instructions to save my life.
I believe it is. Myself, I can be very clumsy, mostly in my motor skills. I am horrible at sports, pretty much every sport, I bump into things and people alot, I have trouble finding my place, or diverting around things.
Oh yes. I walk into so much stuff on a daily basis that I am constantly covered in bruises.
I've never really got into sports, I tended to be rubbish at them but when I don't think I ever applied myself, I'm better at things once I concentrate and actually give things a chance. I'm not as clumsy as I used to be but I still can't time thigns right. When I use the colour dark room at college, I always forget to look for the lights, and just walk out into darkness and hit the walls and I never learn my elsson.
it definitly is a common trait for those with aspergers. i am diagnosed with aspergers and am very clumsy. i run into things a lot strub my toe and bonk my elbows a ton. its kind of like im not aware of my whole body.

so glad to hear that;  I've always had problems with defining where I end and something else begins.  Like Ceri Chaos, I have a particular problems with door jambs.  People who have lived with me liken a walk through my house, to a pin ball bumping around and careening off furniture.

Clumsy unless attentive is my situation.  I fence and have studied dance, and while paying attention, I am at least facile, if not talented.  If I don't pay attention, I'm stumbling.
I'm always running into doorjambs, etc.  Otherwise fairly clumsy, all my life.  I trip over stuff.  If I didn't have a tremor my fine motor coordination would be a snap though.
I know that I am clumsy, walking into walls or hitting my head on something because I wasn't paying attention.
I am clumsy normally, but quite fast and precise when it comes to smaller movements (e.g. using my hands).
