How about a Celtic knot depicting a square peg in a round hole?

Infinity loops are cool and all, but they don't really depict the asymmetry of the thought process - infinity loops are limited in that they are trapped within themselves.  Hmm, maybe that is appropriate.

But not rainbow.  Not rainbow.  Yay spectrum and all that, but the gay community owns the rainbow, hands down.  Let them have it, it's a source of their pride, and the last thing you want to do is take away something that's precious to another community.  A rainbow loop would be cool for gay aspies, though.  That would bridge the gap.

The logo must translate to NTs as well.  To most NTs since 1995, rainbow equals gay.  Aspie does not equal gay.

So maybe the color shouldn't be rainbow, it should simply be random, and a different array of colors every time.  How about that one Smile

I am in agreement with Obsidian regarding the rainbow theme.  That's taken.  There are other ways to make something multi-colored without it looking like the GLBT rainbow.  (Do note, however, there are parallels between that movement and this one.  We can learn from them.)

One way to pull off random colors is to use irridescent material in the making of objects bearing the symbol.  I think it would be impressive because it would look different almost every time you see it, depending on how it catches the light and reflects it to your eyes.  The infinity sign on this website already looks like an attempt to simulate irridescence.  When irridescence is not possible, I'd prefer a single color.

Maybe a key with the puzzle pieces in it.  I know the ribbon with puzzle pieces has been largely taken over by the pro-cure movement, but the key would show it as being on the same spectrum but with a different meaning.

Personally, I think the key would be better for those trying to unlock the secrets of curing autism and the ribbon would be better for us, too bad that won't be the case.

maybe a grayscale infinity logo, since those trying to figure out the Autistic spectrum seem to run into so many gray areas with their findings.
Now that I've thought a little more about it, I'm not sure if I like the key idea as much either.  A key is meant to unlock things, where in this instance, to unlock Autism would mean to "cure" Autism.

I always liked the saying of "march to the beat of a different drum", maybe if a logo was made with 3 drums, 2 of 1 color, and 1 of a different color, maybe something a little more vibrant looking than the other 2.  This would show a difference, but not a problem as all 3 drums would appear in working condition, the third one is nothing else but a little different.

Just a thought.
Another one I always liked and associated with is the "square peg in a round hole".

This reminds me of an interesting story I remember from preschool, I was sitting with a plastic toy set of different shaped blocks with a main piece that had holes that went with the blocks.  I had a round peg, and even though I understood which hole it went into right off the bat, I tried the other holes to see what would happen.  The teacher was watching me and kept correcting me, saying "that peg doesn't go in that hole".  By my own luck, the circle peg was a smaller diameter than the square one, so I stuck it in the square hole and it fit perfectly, the teacher corrected me again, but I said "well it fits doesn't it?".

How about this?
I'm also working on that key, though geometrically its a little difficult (you don't know how hard the infinity symbol was, the colors were the easy part).

Also every image I make can be made with any color backround, or a png file with a transparent background. I used the totally free and totally universal (Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris, etc.) 3d animatior "Blender" (http://www.blender.org).
Also, we are unique.  What is beautiful and stands out from the crowd?
:s please stop rediffining something i already clearly explained, its irritating. my cocnept is NOT related to a cure in any way, keys unlock something, "something" is NOT cure. sense the logo would be copyrighted curbies could not steal and manipulate it legally to say that anyway.

the aspies are the keys and the NTs are the locks, in my head. they are all bottled up in their own society and heads and afraid to sayw hat they really think, then the right aspie comes along, and the NT opens up. ive seen ithappen plenty of times. my symbol is about symbosis, becuase we compliment eachother in ways many peopel do not seem to understand.

i don't like the drum idea, or the square peg in a round hole either, all that does is alienate us even more.
Ok fine, I'll make the key

Thank you very much.

It's a .png file with transparency, so you can put it in front of any background

I really like the idea of the key placed vertically in the foreground of the infinity logo that SaintTheo posted above. The one with the yellowish top and the lavender bottom.

Actually, I'd love that logo (key over infinity) in good enough resolution to get it printed into about a 6"x10" (or maybe a bit larger) size. Perhaps with an Aspie/Autie slogan on it so that people know what they're looking at.  I'm personally not 'pro-cure' or 'anti-cure' right now, I think that humanity still doesn't know enough to made a decision either way (I certainly don't know enough, but suspect the best path is somewhere between the two), but education is the answer for me right now and I'd like to start educating people in general.

Oh, the reason I'd like the large size is so that people can see it on my race car from trackside.

Aspie Key + Infinity

Saint Theo, I really like the key with the infinity logo. Is it possible for you to change the bottom colour to blue and the the top to red? I ask this because I'm going to print it off and put it on a t-shirt for Autistic Pride Day and I'm putting it onto a yellow shirt.
