ooops That's "Thanks" if you type in the dark!
Special thanks to Mish, Terminology is a big bugbear to me especially when people don't realise that they're using it; I'm sure others must have similar problems e.g.
"Transfers" means something different to an Occupational Therapist and an Airfix kit fan
"Current" means electricity to a lay person, but a specific property of electricity to an 'expert'
"Window" has quite a few meanings; computer jock, builder, business person
Is this worth starting a new Topic? Can *I* do that? Not tonight though, well past my bedtime.
Glad I expended the effort it took me to join.

This all so exciting for me - really!
I asked about "lol" 'coz I thought it was specific to the topic/thread being discussed, I did not realise that it was a general abb. (abbreviation (joke)) or even a OFSA (On-line Forum Specific Acronym (worse joke)). However, looking at the width of replies, my brain is on fire (NL) (Not Literally (just made that up too)). Ha Ha. My new topic will take over the world!!!!!
Ahem.
[Quietly observes surroundings]

What was I saying?
I will start a new topic (or whatever the term is) on what I thought I meant by "Terminology".
A site I found useful:

Too many thoughts for me to process, that's what I mean
I picture the thought like a firework rocket when it explodes in the sky, suddenly splitting into a thousand sparks/stars whatever you call them. You can't watch or follow them all.
I'm not good at Similes and Metaphors so I would love a reference work too.
Anyway, I feel bad about hi-jacking this topic, need to go and think about my plans for world domination err, sorry I meant new Topic.
