Actually the theory does appear in a government run site which looks like quite a large scientific spot.

(Link broken to avoid making it mainstream, it's only a proposd theory at present)

This treatment may have been responsible for this development but it certainly doesnt prove it. Where are those treated with placebos? has the mother or others been engaging her child more since she started treatment?
Thats why all attempts at clinical trials of stuff fail - the parents are often so deseperate to get their kids "cured" that the kids are so pumped full of varius cocktails of drugs, and undergoing such a wide range of alternative therapies that the studies end up muddied and no conclusion can be drawn from it

Here's an article on the doctor Mrs. Sykes is talking about.
http://neurodiversity.com/weblog/article/103/
It thoroughly debunks this bullshit science, although it's pretty long.

She said her son had toxic levels of mercury.
Her son should be dead. DEAD. (Or severely ill)

Also, she has creepy facial expressions.
Just thought I would point that out because it was bothering me throughout the whole thing. Is that how we're supposed to smile?

Every time they gave her son a Luprin shot, his testosterone went back up.
Maybe it's meant to be up. Stop trying to treat him and ONLY treat him if it's acutlaly causing trouble!

Yeah her facial expressions were kinda weird. I say that she's the one with toxic levels of mercury, not her son.

Looks like just another cure-all ad to me.
Personally I would never trust the medical word of anyone with "Rev." at the front of their name, anyway.
(No offence to Christians, but reverends as a general rule know bugger all about medicine.)
