). It's a Panasonic Lumix, with 3 x optical zoom (Leica lens) and 9 x digital zoom (which I find useless and won't use). I got a 256 megabytes card to go with it. Since all my kids (with spouses) and my husband helped pay for it, that's all I got. But I love it and I am happy with it. It takes great pictures.Uschi

Uh, Cush isn't that long, but it is true.
When cuddling on him, I sometimes remember that picture (from the chart in that one topic).

$1000 contribution for my 2005 Roth IRA.
New dress shoes, dress socks, and business casual clothing.
Several NES, SNES, and Playstation 2 games.
Several DVDs.
A large CD/DVD carrying case.
It was a fairly profitable Christmas, all in all, primarily due to the large, unexpected IRA contribution.
A friend gave me a CD I already have, so she exchanged it for a book (she works in a Christian book store, and had some other new stuff on hand). When I got home I realized what that book was about, and whished I would have kept the CD. It's on how to control your 'big mouth'! Ken saw it, and was going to read me stuff on how I should apply it. I got really mad, and told him to shut up. She also gave me one of those dumb pillow things with a saying to hang up as a Christmas decoration (I hate those types of things, but of course, she doesn't know that) and spices for making mulled apple cider (I guess I have to try doing that for the first time in my life, those things never occur to me).
this sounds so scary - IRA has nothing to do with tax here, Jay...
i got a USB flash drive (very paranoid about losing three novels and my PhD work!); some deliciously indulgent smelly stuff from Lush (you will find me sniffing myself at all odd hours of the day); a sandwich toaster (yum); some money (NOT from the IRA!); a bagpuss t-shirt and glasses case (i'm SO grown up); and... a crystal ball.
of course, my birthday was just after xmas, so i got lovely new things for that, too, best of all a new stereo, from me to me - the result of my "penny jar", in which i save all coins under Ł1 throughout the year and use for my birthday present. also, some more stuff from Lush (perhaps people are trying to tell me something?); some black writing paper and envelopes (and pens to write on them); chocolates (natch); a statue of a witch and one of the Green Man; some more money (with which i bought a new mobile phone and contributed to the Tsunami relief fund - my mum liked that); and a sparkly pink sort of bag thing.
phew! sure i've left something out, materialistic little capricorn that i am...
