Anyone else collect soft toys? What toys do you have?
I'm more of a rescuer than a collector (I rambled about the creatures in another thread in a very off-topic manner)...
That's cute. My favourite toy from when I was a baby was a teddy bear, but I used to play with his face and his nose came off.

My most favourite ones now are a cat called Skimbleshanks, a cheetah called Palogo and a seahorse called Coco. I stopped buying many soft toys because... well... too many, really.

It's true - it is good to have something furry to cuddle even when you can't keep pets.
I three bunnies, a toy manta ray, a small black gorilla, 2 camels, and assorted other small soft toys plus a number of baby dolls which I've dressed up in clothes I knitted or crocheted.
I never slept with a stuffed animal, but I have lots of them in my room.

I recently bought a cute cheetah from a valentine's day clearance sale. He was so cute, and so cheap I couldn't resist.
Always liked stuffed toys beter than dolls. Some dolls (especially cupie dolls -- shudders) still give me the creeps. Some don't any more, but when I was really little and someone tried to give me a doll, I would push it away.
I have a huge turtle named "Mr. Turtle" & i have a giraffe named "Jaffy" and a tree frog named "Sparky"......do i go on
I've got a Garfield that I've had since I was 13 and two bears that I adopted from my mum.

Oh, and a little penguin with a red scarf and a Santa hat that I got for $2 at the supermarket -- he was cute.
I sleep with a Hello Kitty doll.  I wash it every week.
I have a giant plush lobster- named Lobster, of course.
I have a yellow stuffed dog named Stinky.

<hugs>

I also have Miss Monkey, she's one of those monkeys you can hang around your neck. Then there is Wally the Bear, Puffalump Bunny (he's in love with Miss Monkey...don't ask)

I am tempted to ask. But okay, if you tell me not to, I won't.

I got a hang around the neck monkey, too. It's Apu from Disney "Aladdin".

I never liked dolls so I guess stuffed animals or "plushies" filled that void for me. When I was little I always carried my talking Simba with me (I still have him and he still talks) and then my Timon and Pumbaa finger pupets that the bus driver tried in vain to confensgate from me and I had to have them written into my IEP because I would have a panic attack if they were not with me. He did not get them and stoped the bus for an hour trying to make me surrender them to him (jerk) he got in big trouble for that too. (I still have them)  I will never part with the bigger Timon plushie that my brother gave me for Xmas one year. He's falling apart at the seems and you can see his stuffing and I will still never give him up. I can't sleep if I'm not holding onto him.   I also collect meerkat stuffed animals but they are part of my meerkat collection.

I loathed dolls too (plastic corpses, yeuch Tongue) and still collect soft toys, mostly tigers and tiggers. I have four hobby-horses that I bought last year after wanting to collect them for over forty years.

My boyfriend and I just vacationed in New Mexico and he got me a plush baby coyote named Joey.

We accidentally abandoned him in a hotel room and had to drive back 70 miles to rescue him. One of our cats is afraid of him...

Aw. That's cute!!!

I have lots of soft toys. They all have names.
Boyfriends who don't like my soft toys have to go...
